The Xenoblade Chronicles series has become one of Nintendo's biggest franchises. Thanks to the critical acclaim the most recent title in the franchise Xenoblade Chronicles has received, many gamers are only discovering the first two games in the trilogy.
Thanks to the quality of each title, it's reasonable to play the first two games after completing Xenoblade 3 as if they were prequels. The surprises, twists, and allusions all three games share are just as impactful when playing after the third. Next to the third game, Xenoblade Chronicles is hailed as the best in the series and one of the best JRPGs of all time.
Xenoblade Chronicles Length
As with its successors, Xenoblade Chronicles is a huge game with a massive world to discover and many secrets to find. Even without the side content, Xenoblade is a long game that will keep JRPG fans entertained for hours and leave a lasting impression after it's finished.
According to the data gathered by How Long To Beat, the average playthrough of Xenoblade Chronicles is around 51 hours for the main story. Completing the campaign and the side content will take approximately 80 hours. For completists, however, finishing the game and seeing everything it has to offer can take around 138 hours.
Future Connected Length
Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition includes expanded content that connects it with its successors. The epilogue known as Future Connected is worth the price of entry alone, with its average playtime coming in at around 10-13 hours for completists.
In terms of scale and scope, Xenoblade Chronicles is one of the biggest JRPGs on the Nintendo Switch. It's not a game that can be rushed, and with such a great story and characters, why would anyone want to rush it?
