There aren't any achievements to be won for reactivating all the Ferronis Hulks in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. However, they open up new fast-travel locations, and are necessary for those trying to complete the sidequest: Nopon Register. There are two hulks per four regions, totaling eight Ferronis Hulks in-game.
The first Ferronis Hulk is unlocked during the second chapter in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 The remaining seven can be found through exploring. Reactivating a Ferronis Hulk costs a set amount of Ether, and using their Fabricators costs gold. As most would expect, the region with stronger enemies means the more difficult it is to "unlock" the Ferronis Hulk.
What To Do At Ferronis Hulks?
Ferronis Hulks aren't just fast-travel spots. They have the same functions as a Camp, Barracks, and Canteen. This means characters can Discuss, Cook, Craft Gems, Train, Clean, and Save their game. Reactivating Hulks opens up a Nopon Trader, where players can purchase Accessories or sell items. Be sure to speak to one of the Nopon to get a colored stone for the Nopon Register quest.
If this is the player's first time unlocking the Ferronis Hulk, then they can loot through the nearby Containers. These usually have Nopon Coins (Silver) and rare collectible items. There's also the Fabricator, which will generate multiple items at once for a price. Each Fabricator has a different cost with the first Ferronis Hulk being 300, and another being 1500. They may not be useful in the beginning chapters, but Fabricators are a quick way to farm items for some Standard Quests, such as the Tau-Tirkin Alliance.
Aetia Region
The first Ferronis Hulk is the Hillside Hulk, which unlocks during the main story and functions as a tutorial for Hulks and Ether Channels. Thus, it's impossible to miss this one. The other Ferronis Hulk in the Aetia Region is the Battlescar Hulk, which is to the far north of the starting level. More specifically, this is the area where Noah, Eunie, and Lanz fought the Agnus troops in the opening cutscene. Players won't be able to return to this area until they've reached Chapter 3, but the Battlescar Hulk is surrounded by level 60 monsters. Meaning it may be some time until this Hulk can be reactivated.

Fornis Region
The Fornis Region has the Tableland Hulk and the Desert Hulk.
- The Tableland Hulk is located to the far left of the Saffronia Tree Landmark. Fortunately, the Saffronia Tree is part of the main story, so if players just continue west, they'll eventually stumble upon the Tableland Hulk. The enemies around this Hulk are level 22, so players shouldn't have an issue unlocking this one.
- The Desert Hulk is to the east in the Dannagh Desert. The closest Landmark is Raptor Perch, but players will need Teach's Scree Walking ability in order to reach the desert. This ability can be unlocked by doing the Hero Quest: Going Beyond Power. The enemies here are around level 35, so be sure to level up after getting the Scree Walking skill.

Pentelas Region
The Pentelas Region has the Cascade and Clifftop Hulk. In order to reach these, players will need to first unlock Colony Iota, which can be done by doing the Main Mission. Once they're given the green light to explore, they can look for the Cascade Hulk first.
-
The Cascade Hulk can be reached with Valdi's Skill: Wall Climbing. The unlocks by doing the Hero Quest: The Kind Right Hand. Players should climb the purple vines north of Colony Iota's Ferronis. Alternatively, players can fast-travel to the Aquifer Exhaust and head north towards the climbable wall.
- Players will have to fight an Umber Drague to progress the story, then they can continue east. Swim across the water to the Titan Rock Camp (necessary for the main story), and continue northeast to find the Cascade Hulk. It's surrounded by aquatic enemies (level 34), with some enemies being Elite, so try to fight them one-at-a-time.
-
The Clifftop Hulk is to the north of Engardo Pass Camp. Players will unlock this camp if they continue the main mission. Here, they'll have to battle Silvercoat Ethel and Cammuravi. Defeat them, and continue north.
- Look left, and there should be a Unique Enemy (Besieger Sheritt). Interact with the panel to open the "blinds" and fight the Unique Enemy, or run away from it. Continue down the path and players will see level 45 Agnus soldiers. Some are unavoidable and necessary to fight, so make sure to be around level 47-50. At the very end of this path is another Unique Enemy (Bushwhacker Farritt), and it's stronger than the first. Hug the left wall to avoid it.
- Once players have made it through, they should head northeast to find the Clifftop Hulk. The enemies here are level 50, so it's likely the Clifftop Hulk won't be reactivated for a while. However, if feeling brave, then try to pick off the groups one by one. Chances are if players have made it past the two Unique (Agnus) enemies, then they should be prepared for the Clifftop Hulk.

Cadensia Region
The final region with Ferronis Hulks is the Cadensia Region. This is unlocked in Chapter 5, and after players have received the Boundary ship. Fortunately, enemies won't attack while sailing, so feel free to drive right through them if they're in the way. In the Cadensia Region, there's the Atoll and Sandbar Hulk. The closest one from Swordmarch is the Atoll Hulk, so head for that one first.
-
The Atoll Hulk can be reached by heading north, a bit past the Quest marker for The Castle Beckons. Head a bit northewest from there to find the Atoll Hulk.
- In case players missed this, then the Atoll Hulk can be found north of the Pioneer's Inlet and south of the Doublecrag Gate Landmark. Defeat the level 46 enemies, and the Ferronis Hulk will be ready for reactivation.
-
The Sandbar Hulk requires the Scree Walking Ability. The Sandbar is north of the Thurbin Harbor/Relay Base Landmark, which players will need to visit in order to progress the main story.
- Be warned that the enemies surrounding the Sandbar Hulk are level 63-64 with plenty of Elite Monsters.
- Players will also want to be careful of the sandpits. Falling into one of them near the Hulk will drop players into a spider pit with a level 64 Unique Enemy (Abysmal Rakshmi), and level 62-64 monsters. It's recommended to just fast-travel to the Second Pillar Remnant (unlocked upon approaching the Sandbar) if players accidentally wind up in the nest.
