Fishing in Yakuza 0 is actually quite simple once you get used to it. If you are still new to fishing, we will give you a simple breakdown of how to do it with ease and get yourself some extra cash to spend.

  • Start by visiting a location where you can fish. This includes Kamurocho Pier and Sotenbori River.
  • Once you arrive at your chosen location, you can fish at any of the spots that have a prompt that shows up when you approach it.
  • Once the fishing mini-game opens, you can choose to first scatter some bait using Y on your Xbox Controller, or the corresponding button on your PlayStation Controller or keyboard.
  • Then, choose a location where you'd like to cast your line. You can choose any of the fish that appear in the water.
  • After casting your line with the A button on your Xbox Controller (or the corresponding button on your PlayStation controller or keyboard), eventually, a fish should latch onto your line.
  • Once a fish is attracted to the line, you will want to wait until the bobber sinks into the water, and the red line has started to go underwater. You will want to make sure it is only part of the red line and not the whole thing.
  • Then, press A again to hook the fish, and then rapidly press the button prompts that appear on the screen after.

  • River Classic - Can be received from Fuguno Sakai in Sotenbori after becoming Business Partners (Found west of Kushikatsu Daruma)
  • Seamaster - Can be purchased from Sushi Gin in Kamurocho after becoming friends with the Sushi Gin Chef
  • Rivermaster - Can be received after partnering with Komian in Sotenbori and becoming friends with the Komian Chef
  • Peerless Pole - Can be purchased from Ebisu Pawn in Sotenbori and Kamurocho for 30 million yen
