A fan of Showtime’s series Yellowjackets has dedicated a lot of time and effort into recreating the show’s characters in the life sim The Sims 4, and some of the creations are eerily similar to their live-action counterparts. In The Sims 4, players can choose from eight life stages to create their desired character and customize their facial and bodily features. With a host of facial structures, skin tones, and hair color options to alter, pop culture fans can create any character they like to roam as a Sim and speak the iconic Simlish.
Yellowjackets first premiered in 2021 and has, so far, aired three seasons in total. The show follows a girls’ soccer team that must survive in the wilderness after a devastating plane crash, and two timelines, one presenting their time in the wild and the other checking in with their adult selves, intertwine with each other. With the show’s popularity booming currently, another Yellowjackets fan recently recreated the pit girl trap in Minecraft, proving gamers’ love for the supernatural thriller.
The Sims 4's New Customization Feature is a Game-Changer
The Sims 4's new customization feature takes creativity to the next level, giving players more control than ever to design truly unique Sims.
Posted on TikTok by trayjures, a 10-second video was uploaded featuring the fan’s iteration of Yellowjackets characters in the life sim, similar to another The Sims 4 player who created characters from the 90s series Charmed. The main characters that were recreated include young versions of Natalie, played by actor Sophie Thatcher in the show, Shauna and Jackie played by Sophie Nélisse and Ella Purnell, Lottie (complete with a wooden crown) played by Courtney Eaton, actor Liv Hewson’s Van, Misty played by Samantha Hanratty, and more. The fan also noted they had spent hours on this impressive project.
The Sims 4 Player Creates Yellowjackets Characters Natalie, Jackie, Van, Misty, and More
The Sims 4 features one of the best character creators with almost no limits, and most of the TikTok community was especially stunned by Misty’s likeness. The character’s actor Hanratty even commented on the video, stating the creations were “so good,” and another user thought star Thatcher would “go crazy” being a fan of The Sims herself. Additionally, one fan commented that they had created Van and Taissa in the game, and had them “living the life they deserved” in a woodland cabin.
The Sims 4 has been the go-to life simulator since its debut in the year 2000, but its crown was recently being eyed by publisher Krafton’s title InZOI. The 2025 game’s answer to Sims was virtual people called “Zoi,” and the gameplay flaunted a bustling open world with many of the same mechanics as Maxis’ creation. The Sims 4 and InZOI’s rivalry is soon to get a third competitor in Paralives, but regardless of the life sim genre growing year-by-year, The Sims series will likely remain the nostalgic choice in gamers’ hearts.
