The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has a grand total of 120 shrines, and 42 of these shrines have quests that must be completed before they can be accessed. While some of the shrine quests are fairly easy, several can trip players up for a long time. One of the most challenging of these quests is the Crown of Bone quest, which players can pick up in the Rabia Plain in Lanayru. Kass gives players one of his song riddles passed down from his teacher, and it's up to Link to solve it and raise the shrine from the ground.

Mezza Lo Shrine can be found south and east from the Larayru Tower. Fast travel to the tower, then fly across the water to the south. On the other side of the bank, look for Kass, who will be standing by with his accordion and playing a tune. Have a chat with him, and he will offer Link a song. It tells the player what to do to unlock this underground shrine.

The song goes like this: "A beast that wears a crown of bone, Prancing through the lush green. Mount the beast upon its throne, For only then the shrine is seen." Right in front of Kass is the platform, so players just need to bring a "beast that wears a crown of bone" to it.

If players look to the south of Kass, there will be a campfire there. Head in this direction while wearing the stealth suit or eat one of the many stealth recipes in Breath of the Wild. In order to complete the puzzle, players will need to ride a male deer, and there should be a few in that direction. Once players find a deer with some antlers, or a crown of bone, they will need to sneak up on it.

Once close enough to the deer, the "Press A to Mount" button will appear on the screen. Players just have to press it, then press the L bumper over and over again until the beast is soothed enough to let Link ride him. Unlike Breath of the Wild's horses that can be tamed and stabled, deer cannot be. But Link can soothe them enough to let him catch a ride.

Next, ride him over to the platform. As soon as the deer is on it, the shrine will come up out of the ground.

Mezza Lo is a fairly small shrine; in order to complete it, players don't have too much to do. But it still can be quite the difficult puzzle, especially to those new to how Legend of Zelda puzzles tend to work.

  • First, they need to take away the metal cube that is blocking the laser. Pick it up with the Magnesis Rune ability.
  • This will allow the laser to hint the color-changing crystal. Each time this crystal is hit, the platform in the center of the room will move to one of the four positions around the room.
  • Move the platform until it is in front of the crystal's platform so that Link can step onto it.
  • Take the metal block with Magnesis over to the pedestal across from the crystal's pedestal and drop it off there.
  • Stand on the platform. Hit the crystal with an arrow.
  • This will move it to the platform with the treasure chest; inside is a 22-strength lightning blade. While this isn't the strongest Breath of the Wild weapon, it can shock enemies, making them drop their weapons and prevent them from attacking/
  • Next, stand on the platform and use Stasis to freeze the laser.
  • Hit the crystal with an arrow, and the platform will move across to the third platform. There is a button there that needs to be weighed down; use the metal box to keep it pushed.
  • Once the Stasis timer runs out, the crystal will be hit again with the laser, moving the platform to the open door of the end of this Breath of the Wild shrine.
