The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom released a day one update, Patch 1.0.1, to address several issues impacting gameplay. While the patch notes for Echoes of Wisdom did not state which particular bugs were fixed, a known dataminer has claimed that 280 files were changed in Patch 1.0.1.

Echoes of Wisdom is the first mainline Legend of Zelda game focused entirely on the series' titular princess instead of the heroic Link. In Echoes of Wisdom, Zelda and a mysterious golden entity named Tri travel across Hyrule to investigate mysterious rifts that have appeared throughout the kingdom, swallowing anyone and anything caught in their wake. These rifts lead to the Still World, an otherworldly zone in which the kingdom's missing denizens have been frozen in time. By using Zelda's Tri Rod and calling upon various echoes, new and longtime Zelda players can find plenty of ways to overcome the many challenges found in Echoes of Wisdom.

With Nintendo and Grezzo in charge of development, Echoes of Wisdom Patch 1.0.1 coincided with the game's full release. According to Nintendo's customer support website, Patch 1.0.1 addressed several issues that impacted gameplay. Although the patch notes did not specify which gameplay aspects were improved, Twitter user OatmealDome stated that more than 280 game files were changed in Patch 1.0.1. Some of the files that were updated included models, map data, music, and cutscenes. Users can update Echoes of Wisdom to version 1.0.1 by connecting their Switch consoles to the Internet, hovering over the Echoes of Wisdom game icon in the system's home menu, pressing the Plus button, and selecting Software Update from the Options menu.

Nintendeal added that in version 1.0.0, the game regularly dropped from 60 frames per second to 30 without warning. The 1.0.1 update instead temporarily locks Echoes of Wisdom's FPS to 30 in areas that cannot run at 60 until it can recover.

Although reviews for Echoes of Wisdom have been positive, Nintendo and Grezzo are determined to continue addressing some of the game's technical issues. It remains to be seen what further improvements will be made to Echoes of Wisdom, and with the Switch successor on the horizon, many wonder if these common technical issues will soon be a thing of the past.
