How to Get Grilled Fish Echo in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

Echoes are primarily used to make it easier for Princess Zelda to reach higher areas or fight monsters in Echoes of Wisdom. Then there are the less obvious Echoes, such as the Grilled Fish. You can unlock the Grilled Fish Echo by completing the appropriately-named sidequest "Deliver the Grilled Fish" in Seesyde Village. Even if it's one of the many Echoes you never use in your Echoes of Wisdom playthrough, you'll need it for 100% completion. This side quest is one of several you can complete before returning to Hyrule Castle, and its simplicity makes it ideal for new players.

How to Complete

Once you start the "Searching for Everyone" main quest, you can go to Jabul Waters or Gerudo Desert. For "Deliver the Grilled Fish," you'll need to go to Seesyde Village in the Jabul Waters region. This is between Zora Cove and the River Zora Village. On the second dock on the right side of the village, there will be a NPC with a red objective marker over her head.

You'll need to carry the Grilled Fish to her son, who's in the forest north of Seesyde Village. You can carry it regularly, but you should use Tri's Bind ability instead to make the transport easier. The section of forest that you need to take the fish is home to three Spear Moblins and a locked wooden chest.

Moblins will eat the Grilled Fish, so you should dispatch them before carrying the fish into their line of sight. Alternatively, you can create Grilled Fish Echoes and distract them with the fakes. Once they're taken care of, go a little way north of the chest, and you'll see a man resting on a cliff. Use the Table Echo (or an Echo of your choice) to reach the top of the nearby tree. Make sure you're still bound to the Grilled Fish.

After delivering the fish, return to Seesyde Village to report the news. You'll receive x10 pieces of Bubble Kelp for your hard work.

If you didn't learn the Grilled Fish Echo, enter the nearby house at the docks, then leave to make it reappear.

Can You Deliver the Grilled Fish Echo?

If you create a Grilled Fish Echo for the son instead, he'll mention there's something "off" about it and go back to sleep. You need to have the original in order to complete the side quest. If the fish crumbled/disappeared, you'll have to return to Seesyde Village to get a new one.

Is It Worth Using?

The Grilled Fish Echo is just like the Meat Echo: It can be used to distract certain monsters. If you're collecting Zelda's outfits/accessories, then you'll need the Grilled Fish Echo to get the Cat Outfit in Kakariko Village. Otherwise, it's not an Echo that will be of much use to you. However, as mentioned, you're going to need to learn the Grilled Fish Echo if you're going for 100% completion.
