After clearing the first four dungeons in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Faron Wetlands quests start to become available. You can get to the Faron Wetlands by using Echoes to clear the waterfall at the south of Lake Hylia, or climb across the treetops to the west of the zone, and its main settlement Scrubton is in the far east of the zone.

The Precious Treasure quest in Echoes of Wisdom can be solved by bringing an item located nearby to the quest giver.

Here, players can pick up the Rain-Making Monster quest, which asks Zelda to collect and return a Rain-Making Monster to the quest giver. The Rain-Making Monster location is very close to Scrubton, thankfully, but you may have already run into the Echo required to complete this quest on your way into the zone.

The Rain-Making Monster quest can be started without any prerequisites aside from finishing the Hyrule Castle dungeon. If you enter the Faron Wetlands before completing Hyrule Castle, though, Deku Scrubs will have unique dialogue but won't offer quests.

Look for the Deku Scrub on the west side of Scrubton, in the top-right of the Faron Wetlands zone, to pick up this quest. The Deku Scrub is standing on a wooden platform above two others who initiate their own seperate Echoes of Wisdom side quest.

It will say that it noticed a noise like a Monster would make before the recent rain. Zelda is then tasked to find a "rain-making monster" somewhere in the Faron Wetlands.

This Scrub in particular should be standing on a wooden platform on its own with a speech bubble and red exclamation point, indicating a Side Quest is available.

If you have spent some time in the Faron Wetlands before reaching Scrubton, you will have likely already run into the rain-making monster Echo required for this quest: the Drippitune. This blue frog can be found throughout the Faron Wetlands, and you know one is nearby if it's currently raining and you can hear a frog croak noise.

The closest Drippitune to Scrubton is just to the west. Head southwest from the village, then loop northwest to find a Drippitune on a small ledge calling rain almost directly west of the quest start point. Defeat the Drippitune to learn its Echo, then head back to the Deku Scrub in Scrubton.

To complete the Rain-Making Monster quest, summon the Drippitune right in front of the Deku Scrub. A cutscene will play, and you will complete the quest.

Reward For Completing The Rain-Making Monster Quest

For finding the Rain-Making Monster location and bringing it back to Scrubton, Zelda will be rewarded with eight Electro Apples. These Smoothie Ingredients can be used to provide Electricity Proof, which prevents all Electricity damage when used to create a drink.

Save these Electro Apples until you explore more of the Faron Wetlands region and beyond, as the Lightning Proof effect from specific Smoothie recipes is incredibly useful against specific Electricity-type enemies, like the repeating boss Smog from the "Lets Play A Game" quest, or the gigantic electric Jellyfish from the "Zappy Shipwreck" quest.
