There are a few side quests in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom that require you to carry an object from point A to point B. One is in Eldin Volcano ("The Flames of Fortune"), and the other is on Holy Mount Lanayru ("Snowball Magic"). Unlike the Eldin side quest, "Snowball Magic" doesn't have a time limit, but you'll still need to carry the object to its destination without breaking it. The reward for the side quest is necessary to get if you're planning on having two rows of heart containers in Echoes of Wisdom.

Snowball Magic Walkthrough (Echoes of Wisdom)
How to Complete
You'll need to complete "Rift on Holy Mount Lanayru" main quest before you can start the "Snowball Magic" side quest. After you've received Nayru's sanction, warp to the Waypoint stone near Conde's House. Conde should be inside and have a red objective marker over his head. Speak to him, and he'll explain a magic ritual that will ensure his brother's safe return from his adventure. You will then be warped to another area on Mount Lanayru, specifically the area where you most likely learned the Snowball Echo. You'll need to transport a "sparkling" snowball to an altar in the northwest.
You can't make an Echo of the snowball in "Snowball Magic." You'll need to use Tri's Bind ability to transport it to where it needs to go. From where Conde is standing, you'll notice giant snowballs rolling down the mountain. Lock onto one with ZR-button, and use X-button to Bind it. You will then have to traverse the twisting path to reach the altar. Unfortunately, there are countless snowballs that roll down the mountains and can crash into Zelda or the snowball she's bound to. If it breaks, you'll need to get a new one from the path where Conde is standing.
Quickest Route
If you want to bypass the winding road, then you can use Platboom and Flying Tile to make the transport easier. You can refer to the yellow arrows and the Echoes outlined in pink in the above image for the exact route. Otherwise, here's what you'll need to do:
- Head west from Conde to the large area with the icicles sticking out of the ground and the snowballs rolling down the mountainside. Hug the right side to avoid most of the snowballs.
- Head north, and go northwest to find an island that you can only reach by creating Echoes. You can use the Platboom Echo to give Zelda a lift. However, make sure there's some distance between Zelda and the Platboom, as when it crashes into the ground, it'll knock back Zelda and cause her to drop the snowball.
- Jump onto this island, then face west, You should be able to see another island that's next to the path leading to the altar. This island should have a treasure chest buried in the snow. Use the Flying Tile to reach it.
- Jump down from the ledge with the chest, but be careful of any snowballs. When the coast is clear, head northwest, and you'll find the place where you need to drop off the snowball.
If you're using Platboom and are worried that it will knock Zelda back, you can always equip the Stone Anklet Accessory. You can get this from Hyrule Castle Town for 400 Rupees.
If the snowball is too "far" from Zelda, then you'll want to release it and pick it up again. The placement doesn't have to be exact. Just make sure the snowball goes on the stone platform between the two ice pillars. You can use the images below as a visual guide:

Snowball Magic Reward
Piece of Heart
As a reward for helping Conde, he'll give you a Heart Piece. You know the drill at this point: Collect four pieces of heart to make a new Heart Container. There are 40 Heart Pieces in Echoes of Wisdom. If you've been collecting them throughout your playthrough, then the Heart Piece from "Snowball Magic" may be one of the last ones you need. Unlike Eldin Volcano and Faron Wetlands, "Snowball Magic" is the only side quest you'll find on Holy Mount Lanayru after clearing the rift. You can speak to Conde any time you want, but he won't have any more side quests for you to do.
