A dedicated Legend of Zelda fan is showing off their impressive collection of games, which are all framed on their wall in their order of release. The Legend of Zelda series goes all the way back to the original Famicom/NES era, with many sequels and spin-offs released over the decades since Link’s first dungeon-crawling adventure took the gaming world by storm in 1986. Virtually every Nintendo console and handheld has had at least one Zelda entry, with the most recent example being the highly successful Tears of the Kingdom for the Nintendo Switch.
As to be expected with a series as popular and long-running as The Legend of Zelda, many fans have devoted themselves to collecting the many games and tie-in merchandise the franchise has spawned over the decades. These collections can be as vast as the Zelda universe itself, with promotional art books, golden Wii remotes, and Amiibo figures being displayed along the many mainline Zelda titles and spin-offs. Many of these items are incredibly expensive and difficult to find, making the dedication of the fans collecting them all the more impressive.
Zelda Fan Shows Off Impressive Collection of Games
One fan of The Legend of Zelda franchise decides to show off their massive collection of games and other merchandise relating to the classic series.
One such example is Reddit user PlaceNo4235, who recently posted a photo of their massive Legend of Zelda game collection to r/zelda. Said collection features nearly every mainline and spin-off Zelda entry, from the 1986 original to the aforementioned Tears of the Kingdom, all framed and displayed for all to see. PlaceNo4235 even has rare releases like Ocarina of Time Master Quest for the Nintendo GameCube and the four-game promotional Legend of Zelda: Collector’s Edition compilation from 2003. Some entries even have multiple versions on display, such as the simultaneously-released GameCube and Wii ports of 2006’s Twilight Princess.
Not every Zelda game is included in PlaceNo4235’s collection, with other Reddit users noting that such titles as the original Game Boy version of Link’s Awakening and the infamous Zelda CD-i spin-off games are absent. Still, many have complimented PlaceNo4235 for the symmetry of their framed and mounted Zelda display and even shared some advice on how to maintain it when Nintendo eventually releases yet another new Zelda game - perhaps on the rumored Nintendo Switch follow-up console that has been the subject of much debate and speculation over the past couple of years.
With another sequel almost an absolute certainty and even a live-action film in the works following the success of this year’s Super Mario Bros. Movie, the Legend of Zelda series has an exciting future ahead of it. Meanwhile, devoted fans like PlaceNo4235 continue to celebrate the franchise’s storied past by collecting copies of nearly every entry and framing them on their walls for visitors and online followers to see and be impressed by. PlaceNo4235 will certainly need to make space for future Legend of Zelda installments, but their current display is an impressive tribute to Nintendo’s long-running and influential series.
