A Zelda fan builds a bungee jump device for the sole purpose of torturing Koroks in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Link may gain the favor of Hestu by collecting Korok Seeds in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but some players continue to invent torture methods for these whimsical creatures.
Hundreds of Koroks are hiding throughout the Kingdom of Hyrule in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. After finding a Korok, the creature will award Link with a Korok Seed, which may be traded for additional inventory slots from Hestu. The amount of Korok Seeds needed to obtain more inventory slots will increase over time, but avid players may amass a large quantity of Korok Seeds by carefully examining their nearby surroundings as they explore Hyrule. While searching for Koroks, some players began building contraptions that could torture the creatures and amuse other fans online.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player kunino_sagiri built a long bungee jump out of several Zonai spring devices, which may be easily obtained from Zonai device dispensers scattered throughout Hyrule. The Zonai spring devices were attached together to act as bungee rope, and wooden logs and a Zonai stake were used to support the bungee jump from a high cliff. A Korok was attached to the very end of the bungee jump, becoming the subject for kunino_sagiri's experiment. Link may activate the bungee jump by hitting the stake, sending the Korok down into the canyon.
According to kunino_sagiri, only ten spring devices may be used in the bungee jump device. The user attempted to attach more spring devices in order to send the Korok down into a river at the bottom of the canyon, but the bungee jump would break apart immediately after activation.
Players have invented multiple ways of torturing Koroks ever since Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's launch this past May, but the bungee jump may be one of the most thrilling inventions yet. The bungee jump is just one of kunino_sagiri's many inventions for a "Korok Funfair," so Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players may gain some ideas from watching the user's devices in action.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom continues to be a popular Nintendo Switch title, so players will likely keep making intriguing new devices and vehicle builds with the Ultrahand ability for months to come. If new Zelda: Tears of Kingdom DLC is in the works, players could gain even more ideas as they explore new content in Hyrule.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now for Nintendo Switch.
