A Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player points out that canons can be aimed and shot after being fused with any other weapon. Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom includes mechanics like Fuse which allows players to combine items to create entirely new weapons, including some impressive canon contraptions.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom introduced the Fuse feature alongside several other changes that make it even more replayable than its predecessor. With 10 million Tears of the Kingdom copies already sold, fans are spending countless hours building incredible inventions outside of exploring the extensive storyline. Now one Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player has experimented with canons enough to discover a helpful trick that will result in a powerful ranged weapon if it's fused with the right items.
Reddit user VividAwareness4719 recently pointed out a helpful trick with canons in Tears of the Kingdom. Canons can be combined with another weapon using the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Fuse mechanic, in turn used to attack enemies from a distance like a bow. Similar to other weapons, the canon can be aimed by pressing R in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom which replaces the throw weapon option that normally pops up with the button prompt.
Some parts of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Hyrule and its shrines require players to have a ranged weapon, with the canon being a possible replacement for the bow in some conditions. With this solution in mind, some Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players may be able to complete a task that they've been stuck on by fusing a canon with a weapon. According to VividAwareness4719, this canon trick doesn't work as well with Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom shields as it does with weapons like spears.
The Fuse mechanic is far from the only thing adding replayability to the game, as others have made Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom combat drones, mechs, rocket launchers, and more with Ultrahand. While some other Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom builds require players to have several materials and the Ultrahand ability, this canon technique requires very little by comparison.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now for Nintendo Switch.
