Much like its immediate predecessor, the latest entry in The Legend of Zelda franchise is designed to encourage player experimentation in every sense of that term. Its dedication to emergent gameplay has so far inspired countless amazing feats, ranging from some utterly imposing war machinery to successful attempts at beating Tears of the Kingdom without touching Hyrule's surface.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Trick Solves President Hudson Sign Puzzles in a Second
A Tears of the Kingdom player shares a genius trick for easily solving all President Hudson sign puzzles in the newest Zelda game.
The latest such noteworthy display of out-of-the-box thinking comes from Reddit user Pinko_Matter, who recently managed to hijack an enemy aircraft mid-flight while exploring The Depths in Tears of the Kingdom. As suggested by the gameplay clip of that achievement, the stunt was seemingly made out of necessity instead of a desire for showboating. Namely, the player was flying across the game's vast underground map on a makeshift airplane when the aircraft's Zonai Wing started blinking, indicating that it was about to despawn. Fortunately for them, they were just about to cross paths with a Yiga Clan member operating a similar contraption.
Faced with that brief opportunity, Pinko_Matter had their Link jump off his expiring aircraft and skillfully commandeer the enemy plane after headshotting its pilot with an arrow in midair. Doing so gave them just barely enough time to straighten out their newly acquired plane before it crashed into the ground, as seen in the exhilarating gameplay video immortalizing their achievement.
Although the bullet time mode that Link enters when aiming a bow in midair certainly made this feat easier to pull off, that shouldn't take away from the fact that the player demonstrated some impeccable timing and reflexes in order to jump between two tiny, fast-moving platforms. Reflecting on their achievement, Pinko_Matter bemoaned their habit of never playing Tears of the Kingdom with the Pro HUD Mode enabled, indicating they'd have preferred recording this wild aircraft hijacking stunt without the game's heads-up display elements getting in the way of the action.
But the footage that they did capture still raises the bar for how to stylishly deal with the fact that Zonai Wings are programmed to despawn after 60 seconds of use. That said, there is actually a known Tears of the Kingdom trick that stops Zonai Wings from disappearing, although the method is fairly inconvenient to use.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the sequel to the beloved open-world adventure, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This installment once again sees Link and Zelda battling to protect Hyrule from falling to Ganondorf. This new adventure takes place in the same land of Hyrule as Breath of the Wild but sees something called the Upheaval, which allows link to travel to Sky Islands, as well as deep into the Depths beneath Hyrule. Players can use special abilities to fuse together weapons, and build items to help them progress through the release.
