Hestu is one of the many notable characters featured in 2023's Tears of the Kingdom, and one Zelda fan has created a miniature figure of the giant Korok. While Hestu can be found in various locations in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, this new fan art shows what a miniature version of the character would look like in the real world.

While traveling across Hyrule in Tears of the Kingdom, Link can come across Hestu. Much like his appearance in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the NPC can upgrade Link’s inventory. This makes him an important character to find since he allows the player to hold more important items, such as weapons, bows, and shields, in exchange for Korok seeds. While tracking him down can be a challenge, his design in the games is instantly recognizable, being much larger than the other Koroks Link encounters. One fan recently made impressive fan art based on the character’s design.

Players shouldn't rush out of Great Sky Island in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Here's what to do before exiting this area.

In a post on Reddit, a The Legend of Zelda fan known as MyHeartontheline shared a picture of their handcrafted Hestu. According to the creator, they wanted to make a miniature version of the giant Korok, and the results were impressive. The charming artwork realized the important elements of the character's design, including the branches of his tree-like head and his leaf mask. In addition, the creator gave the miniature figure a two-tone color, replicating the swirly pattern on the in-game character's wooden body. While MyHeartontheline did not reveal how the miniature figure was made, it appeared to be composed of felt-like material, having a fuzzy quality.

The reception to this Hestu figure has been positive, with many liking the miniature version of the Korok. In the comments, the creator revealed plans to craft even more Koroks from the Zelda franchise, noting they were assembling “an army” of the woodland spirits. According to MyHeartontheline, the Hestu figure measured approximately 4 inches tall, and subsequent Koroks would likely be around 2-4 inches. Besides making more miniature figures, the creator said they were considering adding maracas for Hestu, and some users suggested using Q-tips to accomplish this.

This Hestu figure is only one of the many creations made by fans of the game. Beyond real-world arts and crafts, players have made impressive contraptions in-game. For example, one ingenious fan built a mechanical version of Hestu in Tears of the Kingdom, taking advantage of the Ultrahand ability's utility. While the developers have said that no DLC is planned for Tears of the Kingdom, the Zelda community will likely continue to make fan-made content based on the latest game for the foreseeable future.
