The Zora Armor in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be familiar to Breath of the Wild fans as the iconic armor gifted to Link that allows players to swim faster and up waterfalls. In Tears of the Kingdom, a cataclysmic event called the Upheaval occurs, releasing dark magic all over Hyrule, and the armor becomes lost and damaged.

Thankfully, that isn't the end of the Zora Armor, and through one of the side quests, players can get the armor fully restored. The Zora Armor is one of three pieces of a matching set, including a helm and greaves. So, here's how to get the Zora Armor and the other pieces in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Updated August 28th, 2023: Players who want to complete all of Sidon's quest line in Zora's Domain will need to get their hands on the Zora Armor in TOTK. Unfortunately, finding the Zora Armor in Tears of the Kingdom can be a bit tricky if players don't know where to look. Players will need at least one particular part of this armor if they want to head up to the Water Temple and take care of the chaos happening there. To better help players with finding the Zora Armor in TOTK, the following guide has been updated.

How to Get the Zora Armor in Tears of the Kingdom

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom - Zora Armor

Players will get the Zora Armor in Zora's Domain on the east side of Hyrule in Lanayru. When they first arrive in Zora's Domain, there is obvious trouble with purple sludge polluting the waters and ground. The "Sludge-Covered Statue" main quest will start after talking to a group in the domain's center area.

Once that quest is complete and players are introduced to Lady Yona, Prince Sidon's fiancee, she invites them to meet her in the infirmary. She reveals that the Zora Armor is broken but can be fixed if she has an Ancient Arowana fish. Ancient Arowana fish are rare, but luckily they spawn close to the domain.

Players can talk to Dento, the blacksmith in the back of the general store at the Zora Domain, about the location of the Ancient Arowana.

They have been spotted near Mipha's Statue at the peak of Ploymus Mountain. Catching fish in Tears of the Kingdom is relatively easy, and players can grab them by getting close. Sometimes fish dive, but food can be used as bait to draw them back to the surface.

After catching an Ancient Arowana, players can return to Yona and pass it along, and she will fix the Zora Armor and give it to Link. Once equipped, Link can swim up waterfalls and swim faster.

How to Get the Zora Greaves in Tears of the Kingdom

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Zora greaves

Players can get the Zora Greaves after completing the "Sidon of Zora" main quest. Then, again, find Lady Yona, and she will tell Link she wants to give him another gift for all his help and triggers the "Token of Friendship" side quest.

She says the Zora Greaves are rumored to be inside the Ancient Zora Waterworks, but people are still determining where exactly.

The Ancient Zora Waterworks are underneath the East Lake Reservoir, east of the Zora Domain. Players can enter through the giant whirlpool in the center of the lake. They will discover that all the water has drained out of the waterworks and there is a large hole towards the back.

A Stone Talus is waiting below; east of the monster will be a waterfall with a room hidden behind it. The Zora Greaves is inside a chest in the room (3585, 0247, -0103), and when equipped, it boosts Link's swim speed. Players can take down the Stone Talus for rare monster parts and ores if up to the task.

How to Get the Zora Helm in Tears of the Kingdom

The final piece of the Zora set is the Zora Helm. Players can let Lady Yona know they found the greaves, and she hints that two Zora named Khira and Chroma have information on the Zora Helm. They are hanging out in the throne room at the top of the Zora Domain.

After speaking to them, the "Never-ending Lecture" side quest starts, and they tell Link the Zora Helm is in the belly of a sky fish. The sky fish refers to the Floating Scales Island near Mipha's Court, which can be accessed by fast traveling to the Ihen-a Shrine. Players can get to the floating island by paragliding to the sky waterfall east of Mipha's Court that takes them straight to the Floating Scales Island.

The Floating Scales Island is shaped like a giant fish, and near the tail, while facing the fish head on the southeast side, players can see a small opening. They can climb inside or paraglide through the entrance.

Inside will be a chest with the Zora Helm (4094, 0529, 0586). Players can equip it to add a spin attack while swimming. In addition, if players have the entire Zora set equipped, they can swim significantly faster and get armor protection.
