In Breath of the Wild, the 
Diamond Circlet gave Link extra defense against the Guardians. Since Guardians are nowhere to be found in Tears of the Kingdom, their effect has been changed. Depending on the person, the new armor effect from the Diamond Circlet may be underwhelming compared to its BotW counterpart.
The Diamond Circlet can't be looted from chests in The Depths like the BotW- amiibo and DLC cameo armor. Players can instead buy it at Gerudo Town. Since it's crafted from diamonds, the Diamond Circlet is the most expensive armor in Tears of the Kingdom. It's best to know everything about this expensive piece of armor before handing over the Rupees.
Diamond Circlet Location
The Diamond Circlet can be bought in Gerudo Town (-3875, -2864, 0043) at the Starlight Memories armor store. Although players can find the Starlight Memories store in the Gerudo Shelter, it won't stock the Diamond Circlet until players have completed the Lightning Temple.
- Once Riju awakens as the Sage of Lightning, return to Gerudo Town and make way for the north/front gate.
- Facing the north gate from inside Gerudo Town, the Starlight Memories jewelry store will be on the left (-3792, 2903, 0043) near the front entrance.
The Diamond Circlet will be in stock at the price of 2400 Rupees. It starts out with a defense of 4, and it will increase Link's Attack when worn. It's classified as "head armor," so it can be worn with body armor and leg armor. If players want to buy the Diamond Circlet, they will need to start farming Rupees.
Selling Ore
The best way to get money is to sell materials (such as gems) or meals:
- Ironically, it's the diamonds that sell the most. Players can sell one diamond for 500 rupees. Like all gems, diamonds can be found from Ore Deposits, but only the Rare Ore Deposits (gold ore).

If players speak to a Gerudo merchant named Ramella in Goron City*, they can potentially sell 10 Diamonds for 5500 Rupees. Speaking to her unlocks the "Amber Dealer" side quest, in which players will have to give her 10 Amber Ore. After this, Ramella will be looking to buy higher-quality gems. She'll cycle through Rubies, Topazes, Sapphires, and Diamonds. Until she receives 10 of the requested gem, she won't buy anything else.
- It's possible that players may have to sell bundles of other gems before she cycles back to Diamonds. Thus, although this 10 Diamond Ore can get players more than enough money for the Diamond Circlet, Ramella isn't the most reliable if players are looking to sell a specific gem.
* If players haven't cleared the Fire Temple yet, they'll instead get the chance to meet Ramella at the first set of gates (1649, 2447, 0381) leading to Goron City. Speak to the two Gorons, who offer to buy all of Link's ore for an impressive 3 Rupees. Ramella will stop them, and players will then unlock the "Amber Dealer" side quest. After this, she can be found in Goron City even if players haven't completed the Fire Temple.
How to Upgrade Diamond Circlet
Even though it isn't part of a Set, the Diamond Circlet can be upgraded by a Great Fairy. However, upgrading can be very tedious and time-consuming. Players should think before they start upgrading, as most of the materials needed for the Diamond Circlet are (unsurprisingly) diamonds and (later on) Star Fragments. On the plus side, a level 4 Diamond Circlet has one of the highest base defenses. This might make it worth the effort of enhancing.

If players decide not to upgrade the Diamond Circlet but want the Attack Up bonus, they can instead try to find armor that has the same effect. Armor with Attack Up are usually parts of Sets, and some of the Attack Up bonus won't be applied until that Set reaches level 2.
Best Armor Combinations for the Diamond Circlet
Players can wear just about anything with the Diamond Circlet, but if they want armor that will give them attack power bonus, then they should stack it with the Barbarian Leg Wraps and Barbarian Armor. They can also wear the circlet with the Fierce Deity Boots and the Fierce Deity Armor. All four of these armor pieces have the Attack Up effect.
If players want to stack their defense and have the Attack Up from the Diamond Circlet, then they can wear the following (all armor is treated as level 4 armor):
- Diamond Circlet (28; Attack Up)
- Champion's Leathers (32)
- Pants with 28 defense (ex: Trousers of the Wild, Soldier's Greaves, Zonaite Shin Guards)
