The Kurakat Shrine is one of the many hidden Shrines of Light in Tears of the Kingdom. This means players will need to complete its Shrine Quest, "Dyeing to Find It," before they can grab its Light of Blessing.
Players won't be able to use the Kurakat Shrine as a Travel Point until they reveal it through its Shrine Quest. "Dyeing to Find It" requires the use of Tears of the Kingdom's Ultrahand Ability. It also relies heavily on the time of day, so players would do well to bring
Fire Fruit or Flint just in case they need to pass the time.
Kurakat Shrine (Dyeing to Find It) Location
The Kurakat Shrine location is at the coordinates 2362, -0511, 0156. Players can reach it if they take the path leading from the East Hill Chasm (1822, -1002, 0112) near Kakariko Village (1770, -1051, 0166). Climb up the ruins using Ascend and speak to the Steward Construct to get the quest "Dyeing to Find It" added to the Adventure Log.
Dyeing to Find It Walkthrough
To complete this Shrine Quest, "Dyeing to Find It," players are going to need to line up the shadow of the stone monument with the white monument outline on the adjacent ruin's wall. Link can turn the monument by pushing the nearby wheel. Note how the monument has shapes jutting out of it as well as indents. Look around, and there are wooden planks to place into these indents.
Here's what to do:
- Start by turning the monument. Players will want it so that the side with two indents stacked on top of one another (forming a T-shape) is directly facing Link and the Steward Construct.
- Pick up the wooden plank with Ultrahand.
- Insert the wooden plank into the indent on the left side of the monument.
- Turn the wheel if necessary so that it's lined up.
-
Wait until 5:55am (in-game). Players can pass time by starting a fire on the nearby campfire with Fire Fruit, a
Red Chuchu Jelly, or
Flint.
- If the shadow lines up with the outline on the other ruin, green Zonai writing will appear on the wall and the Shrine will emerge.
This will complete the "Dyeing to Find It" Shrine Quest. Players can now enter the Kurakat Shrine and loot its treasure chest containing a Magic Scepter weapon. This does 7 damage but can have its damage output and durability increased via Fusion. As a magic weapon, it's better to fuse it with gems like a
Ruby or
Sapphire. Don't forget to grab the Light of Blessing, too.
