A fan of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom took to social media to share a mechanical dinosaur they designed using several Zonai devices, along with a brief demonstration of their creation in action. The Tears of the Kingdom builder was complimented by other fans for their effort and for their improvisation skills in building the mechanized dinosaur.
Since its launch in May 2023, Tears of the Kingdom has provided Zelda fans a way to express their creativity and overcome various challenges in unconventional ways. Both Tears of the Kingdom and its predecessor, Breath of the Wild, are two original Switch titles that received upgraded Switch 2 Editions upon the launch of Nintendo's new console. Though upgrading Tears of the Kingdom to its Nintendo Switch 2 Edition usually costs $10 on the Nintendo eShop, both aforementioned Zelda games are included in the Expansion Pack tier of the Nintendo Switch Online subscription at no added cost.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Players Discover Bizarre Autobuild Sharing Exploit
Players discover a strange Autobuild Sharing exploit in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and its spreading through the use of Zelda Notes.
Following the arrival of Tears of the Kingdom on the Switch 2, a Zelda fan shared a new and creative way to clear out a den of monsters. On the Hyrule Engineering subreddit, a Reddit user named sumoguri2323 posted a video of a mechanical dinosaur they built using Zonai devices located throughout Hyrule. The aptly named "Zonaisaurus" is designed to swallow smaller enemies like Bokoblins and trap them in an electrified cage where they take constant damage with little hope of escaping. Zonaisaurus' upper and lower jaws were made from elevator parts taken from the Mogawak Shrine, located in the center of Zora's Domain. The bipedal dinosaur also used big wheels to move its legs and had a long tail for both balance and defense. The control pad that Link can use to pilot Zonaisaurus was placed near the electrified cage, which served as the robot's "stomach" region.
Tears of the Kingdom Player Shares Incredible Zonaisaurus Build
In the comments, sumoguri2323 posted a QR code for their Zonaisaurus build, which other Zelda players can scan to save a blueprint of the mechanized dinosaur for future use. Scanning a blueprint for Tears of the Kingdom requires access to Zelda Notes on the Nintendo Switch smartphone app for supported iOS and Android devices. Players can then save up to eight blueprints from Zelda Notes on their Tears of the Kingdom save file for future use.
Other Reddit users complimented sumoguri2323 for demonstrating Zonaisausus in action. Though Tears of the Kingdom has been out for two years, that has not stopped the creativity of dedicated fans from pushing Nintendo's open-world game to its limits.
