One The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player built a functional NASA inspired space shuttle in the game. Every so often, some inventive Tears of the Kingdom players put forth a concerted effort into making unique contraptions, including dinosaur mechs, off-road cars, and submarines. In addition to a website created by the community, these custom-builds are shared on a Reddit page named Hyrule Engineering Club, where players can learn what raw materials they need to construct their very own vehicle.

Tears of the Kingdom players have access to an in-depth construction tool called Ultrahand, which is unlocked early in the game. It has a larger scope than Breath of the Wild's Magnesis ability, allowing players to pick up and move objects lying on the ground. Also, Ultrahand makes it possible to attach materials together to make land-based vehicles, such as racing cars, hoverbikes, and tanks. Using this rune ability, Tears of the Kingdom fans can even bring their favorite space vessels from other video games into existence.

An imaginative Tears of the Kingdom player known on Reddit as ReelDeadOne created a NASA space shuttle using Zonai devices. The vehicle captures the appearance of a real-life shuttle made with a single rocket engine, a nose cap, and two mounts that keep it balanced on the ground. It looks like the player also utilized puffshrooms to create the white smoke that comes from the space shuttle before launch. The main component of this custom vehicle is Zonai railings, which provide a certain level of propulsion without draining much battery. According to the original poster, they also placed a big Zonai battery, which can be dropped after defeating Tears of the Kingdom's Flux Constructs, to solve the issue with the space shuttle not reaching high enough.

Railings are one of the most useful items in Tears of the Kingdom, allowing players to increase the maneuverability and speed of any flying vehicle. They also reduce weight and make it easier to control aircraft, planes, ships, and helicopters. Players who want to build a NASA space shuttle will need a few railings, which can be found in the Right Leg Depot dungeon located in the Depths.

Zonai devices are mind-opening tools that can be used for different purposes, including combat and exploration. The sandbox nature of these toys helps players make unique contraptions, solve puzzles, and locomote through the world of Hyrule faster than usual. In addition to gachapon machines located in the Sky Islands, Zonai devices can be found in chests spread across Hyrule's map.
