The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is an extremely extensive game with hundreds of customization options and dozens of side quests for players to complete while they explore Hyrule. It's particularly common to find more side quests and activities to do while visiting villages and outposts.
Once players make it to Hateno Village, they will gain access to the "Photographing a Chuchu" side quest. Gamers should definitely complete this quest as early on as possible, not because it's a rather easy and simple quest but because they can make the most of its reward if they unlock it quickly. Players should follow this guide if they need help completing the "Photographing a Chuchu" side quest in Tears of the Kingdom.
Photographing a Chuchu Walkthrough
Once players start exploring Tears of the Kingdom's Hateno Village, they will come across the Dye Shop. It's in this shop that they can talk to the owner, Sayge, to start the "Photographing a Chuchu" side quest.
Sayge wants to begin dyeing paraglider fabrics, and he'd like to practice his new technique by creating a fabric based on a Chuchu. He does not have a reference, so he asks the player if they could perhaps bring him a picture of a blue Chuchu so he can finish the fabric.
Thankfully, it's not hard to find Chuchus near Hateno Village. There are two Chuchus that spawn on the road to the west, just by the village entrance. And the complex well system underneath Hateno Village also has quite a few Chuchus.
As long as gamers have already upgraded their Purah Pad to get access to the Camera feature, they will be able to capture an image of a Chuchu. If the picture is good enough, a quest marker will appear on it. Then, the only thing they need to do is bring it back to Sayge.
Quest Reward
Sayge will reward the player with Chuchu fabric, which he can then apply to Link's paraglider, but that's not all. After completing this quest, gamers will gain access to more paragraphic customization options.
After the "Photographing a Chuchu" quest, the Dye Shop owner will make more paraglider options available for Link, but he must keep bringing back the visual references before the idea is executed. Here are all the different paraglider fabric options in the Hateno Village Dye Shop:
- Chuchu fabric
- Aerocuda fabric
- Cucco fabric
- Eldin-Ostrich fabric
- Grizzlemaw-Bear fabric
- Horse fabric
- Stalnox fabric
- Lynel fabric
- Gleeok fabric
Players can check this list in-game by talking to Sayge, selecting the "rework the paraglider" menu, followed by the "rework it" option. Gamers can change the paraglider's design immediately by navigating through this menu. Sayge will put Link inside his machine and launch him into the sky in order to dye the paraglider - this way players can see the new design in action right away.
