One The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player has discovered that they can use the Recall ability on a Zonai cannon to detonate many bomb flowers and create a powerful explosion. Recall is one of Link's abilities that changes the core gameplay in Tears of the Kingdom drastically, allowing players to deconstruct vehicles and reverse time for almost all objects lying around Hyrule. It's an enhanced version of Breath of the Wild's Stasis ability.
Since the game's initial launch, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players have created all manners of weapons to dispatch not only regular mobs but also formidable bosses. They put forth a concerted effort into making combat drones, remote bombs, and torture machines. Some imaginative players even combined Tears of the Kingdom's Zonai devices to build Gundam mechs that can execute hordes of enemies.
A Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player known as FilthmasterRich on Reddit discovered a clever trick that allows them to use Recall on Zonai cannons to detonate bomb flowers and deal AoE damage. The player took advantage of White Chuchu Jelly to freeze enemies, activated Recall, picked up a cannon fused to a random weapon, and switched to a different item to cancel its animation. This process allowed them to drop bomb flowers on the ground while the Zonai cannon was suspended above enemies. Then, the player ended the Recall ability to detonate flowers and killed all enemies in an area.
Players must use Tears of the Kingdom's White Chuchu Jelly to freeze enemies and leave the combat area before ending Recall to survive the explosion. Also, it's essential to note that Zonai cannons serve as a detonator when fused to weapons. This is a clever trick that allows players to kill multiple enemies in seconds without spending much effort.
Tears of the Kingdom has several staple mechanics, with one being fusing items and weapons together to increase their effectiveness in combat. This ability makes dispatching enemies more entertaining, allowing players to create dangerous weapons like missiles, explosive arrows, and spears that deal damage over time. Plus, some Gems imbue Link's weapon with an elemental ability and let him fire orbs at enemies when fused to equipment. Aside from destructive weapons, Fuse can be used to make ground-based vehicles, such as excavators, mine carts, and hoverbikes.
