The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is filled to the brim will all sorts of new adventures for Link to experience in the land of Hyrule. Players who remember the previous game will probably remember a few places that they wish to visit again to see how they have changed. Once of these out-of-the-way locations could be the hidden Hylia Goddess statue located in the Forgotten Temple in the Tanagar Canyon. If anyone finds themselves there, they will see that the statue has toppled over, and she is in need of some help.
Helping the Mother Goddess Statue
If players have gone through the Impa side quest about Hyrule's Geoglyphs called the Dragon's Tears, they have probably made their way to the Forgotten Temple in the Tanagar Canyon. They also may have noticed that the Goddess statue, which was tall and proud in Breath of the Wild, has toppled over and is now silent. There is a way to help her stand back up, though, but it will require several steps to complete.
The location of the Mother Statue is -1070, 2682, -0081.
Goddess Statue of Power Side Quest in Tears of the Kingdom
The Spring of Power is located in Akkala, which takes up most of the northeast of the map in Tears of the Kingdom. There is a watery hole carved from the ground to give the Goddess statue a platform to stand in. Interact with the statue, and she will tell Link that she can no longer feel the massive Mother Goddess Statue in the Forgotten Temple.
When Link tells her the statue has toppled, the Goddess will ask for something to give her the power to help the Mother Statue in the form of a dragon part:
Dinraal's Claw. Open Link's inventory and hold Dinraal's Claw in his hands, then drop it onto the ground in front of the Goddess' Statue.
In order to hold and drop items in Tears of the Kingdom, players need to access the main menu with the + button on the right Joy-Con. Hit L or R until on the Materials menu, then select the item to hold. This can be items that Link wants to cook in a cooking pot, items to drop into a Zonai Device Dispenser, or drop something on the ground like wood to make a fire. Press the X button, and players can choose up to five items to hold. Select the item then press A. Once the item is in Link's hands, press B. Press A to drop the items, B to put the items back, or the down arrow then A to toss the items a little further away.
How to Collect Dragon Parts in Tears of the Kingdom
In Breath of the Wild, there were three dragons that could be seen in the skies at specific times of the day in certain locations. These dragons were named Naydra, Farosh, and Dinraal. Players could just head to a specific location at a specific time, and they would be guaranteed to see the dragon. Unfortunately, this won't work now.
The dragons in Tears of the Kingdom no longer are on a set timer. They now head around the world in a set path, but players can no longer rest at a campfire in order to wait for them. The best way to find these dragons is to wait over a Chasm for them to circle around again.
- Dinraal - Stand guard over the East Akkala Plains Chasm to see this dragon emerge from the underground.
- Farosh - Farosh comes out of the East Gerudo Chasm on their route around the world.
- Naydra - Stand watch over the Naydra Snowfield Chasm; this dragon should appear coming up out of the Chasm every couple of in-game days.
Players will need to wait for the dragon to show up, then aim their bow at it with ZR. This will slow time, giving them a chance to aim carefully at the claw that the end of the dragon's toes. Shoot with an arrow, then watch where the claw lands on the ground. Follow it down, and pick it up.
Goddess Statue of Courage Side Quest in Tears of the Kingdom
While players can do these statues in any order, they will need to give Claws to each of the three statues in order to complete this side quest chain. So next, they will need to also visit the Spring of Courage and Wisdom as well. The Spring of Courage, which is located in the Faron Grasslands at 0876, -2368, 0016 just south of the Jiukoum Shrine, will need a Farosh Claw.
Goddess Statue of Wisdom Side Quest in Tears of the Kingdom
The statue at the Spring of Wisdom, which is located at 3919, -1332, 0466, immediately east of the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower. This statue will ask Link for
Naydra's Claw; drop this by the statue to complete this quest.
The Mother Goddess Statue Side Quest in Tears of the Kingdom
Once all three of the Springs have been given a Tears of the Kingdom dragon claw, the Statues will tell Link to visit the Mother Statue back in the Forgotten Temple in the Tanagar Canyon. Players should be able to fast travel there with the Mayausiy Shrine. Once Link arrives, players will notice that the Goddess Statue is back upright and is glowing.
Pray at the foot of this giant Mother Goddess statue, and she will give Link a special sword for all his hard work.
