To begin the specific side quest "The Beast And The Princess," the player needs to head to the New Serenne Stable. It can be found at coordinates (-1356, 0737, 0085) northwest of Lookout Landing and directly west of Hyrule Castle's original location.

Upon reaching the stable, the player will encounter their partner Penn in front of the stable at coordinates (-1347, 0733, 0085). Penn shares the latest rumor he has received, stating that the princess has been sighted controlling a gigantic tusked beast in the "subtropical region in the south." Penn suggests the player gather more information by speaking with travelers at stables.

However, the player needs only to visit the Lakeside Stable, located at coordinates (1553, -3524, 0060), far to the southeastern coast in the West Necluda region, just east of Faron. If the player has already discovered the Jojo-u-u Shrine, they can fast travel there to reach the stable conveniently. Alternatively, they can cross Floria Bridge and head south to the designated coordinates.

Upon arriving at the Lakeside Stable, the player should speak with Anly, the proprietor. Anly takes pride in their stable being chosen as a sanctuary for a new animal species, located near the stable and across the ravine. To reach the ravine, the player needs to go directly north of the stable. There, they'll find Shay, who expresses frustration about being unable to cross the ravine to see the creatures.

To overcome the ravine, the player needs to head northwest until they reach approximate coordinates (1495, -3432, 0060). This is where the two cliffs are closest, allowing for an easy jump, glide, and climb to the other side.

Once on the opposite side of the ravine, the player should make their way back towards the sanctuary they spotted earlier. Here, they will encounter a woman named Cima at coordinates (1538, -3359, 0058).

Cima will explain that the large beasts in the sanctuary are known as Dondons. They are a recently discovered species and are quite gentle. It turns out Princess Zelda had been caring for them. Soon after, Penn arrives, and the player clarifies the misunderstanding.

Penn rewards them with a Silver Rupee for their excellent investigation, and the quest "The Beast And The Princess" is successfully completed.
