Various side quests will open up to Link every time he completes one of the four temples in Tears of the Kingdom. One of these side quests is "The Moonlit Princess." Contrary to its name, the "princess" in question isn't Zelda.

"The Moonlit Princess" is available in Zora's Domain, and it's arguably one of the easiest side quests in Tears of the Kingdom. There are two prerequisites that Link will need before this side quest can be attempted. This involves acquiring the Camera, and the other is related to the "Regional Phenomena" quest.

To unlock "The Moonlit Princess," players need to speak to Seggin in Zora's Domain. Unfortunately, the side quest won't be ready for the taking when Link first arrives in Zora's Domain. There are two things that players will want to have done before finding Seggin:

  1. Speak to Josha and Robbie at Lookout Landing to unlock "Camera Work in the Depths" to get the Camera function for the Purah Pad.
  2. Complete "Sidon of the Zora" main quest in Zora's Domain.

To start "The Moonlit Princess," go to 3275, 0541, 0155 in Zora's Domain. Seggin will be on the second floor's west bridge. He'll want to see "Princess Mipha standing in the moonlight." Players will need to take a picture of Mipha's Statue when the moon rises. Breath of the Wild players will know that Mipha's Statue has been moved from Zora's Domain to someplace else. Here's what to do:

  1. Warp to the Ihen-a Shrine at Mipha Court on Ploymus Mountain.
  2. Climb up the walkway south of the shrine to Shatterback Point.
  3. Mipha's Statue is at 3759, 0432, 0536.
  4. If it's not night, set up a campfire and wait until night.
  5. Use the Camera and take a picture of Mipha's Statue. The moon needs to be visible, so wait until about 10:00pm in-game.
  6. Return to Seggin.

Look for the red exclamation point ("Moonlit Mipha Statue") through the camera lens. This will indicate that the picture is acceptable for the side quest.

The Blood Moon won't count in "The Moonlit Princess." So if players take the statue's picture during a Blood Moon, it won't be accepted. Wait for the moon to return to normal.

As a reward for the side quest, Seggin will give Link a Zora Sword. Like every other weapon on The Surface, it's decayed. However, Zora Weapons gain a boost in attack power when wet. Players should use this weapon while it's raining, or they can activate the water barrier with Vow of Sidon to temporarily boost the sword's power.
