In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Link has upgraded from his simple Breath of the Wild home located in Hateno Village. He can now dream bigger and construct a house to his liking using a variety of pre-constructed rooms which he can fill with decor and amenities.

The player can still visit his original home in Hateno Village, but it no longer offers any of the benefits it did in Breath of the Wild. His new home in Tears of the Kingdom is located just outside of Tarrey Town and allows him to store and display weapons, keep and care for horses, and sleep and cook food. Here's how to start and complete the quest "Home on Arrange" and become a Hylian homeowner in Tears of the Kingdom.

How To Start The Quest “Home On Arrange”

Hudson Construction in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The quest “Home On Arrange” becomes available only after Link has purchased a house from Hudson Construction in Tarrey Town. To unlock Link’s house in Tears of the Kingdom, players must head to Tarrey Town and speak with Hudson and Rhondson, located in their shop at coordinates (3934, 1588, 0129).

Their daughter Mattison will soon be leaving Tarrey Town to stay with the Gerudo, and Hudson especially is heartbroken to see her go. The two run the local construction company, which should come as no surprise to players who have likely seen their persistent advertising throughout Hyrule.

Before the player can purchase a home from Rhondson, they must first complete the side quest series starting with "Mattison’s Independence." This quest chain has the player assist the child with some tasks throughout Tarrey Town, before they finally bid her goodbye as she relocates to Gerudo Town for her studies in misandry and other dated ideals. Once the player has completed this side quest series, they can speak with Rhondson to purchase a house.

Rhondson will offer the player a special package deal including a house with two rooms for only 1500 Rupees. This is, of course, a lot of Rupees, so it may take a while to earn enough to make this big purchase. It's recommended to complete the side quest "Messages From an Ancient Era" which gives Link the opportunity to earn a total of 1200 Rupees once all tasks have been completed.

Once the player has purchased the house and two rooms package from Rhondson, she tells the player to meet a member of their staff on the hill southeast of Tarrey Town, just north of the Rasitakiwak Shrine. This begins the quest “Home on Arrange".

The player can fast travel to the shrine and will see a thin square on the minimap on the field above. The player should head over to the western side of the field where they’ll find a wooden stand staffed by a man named Grantéson. Grantéson congratulates the player on becoming a new homeowner and briefly explains the process of constructing their dream home.

Speaking with Grantéson launches a Building Mode, and the player is instructed to place the rooms they have purchased within the rope boundaries in a configuration of their liking. The player needs to use the Ultrahand to pick up each of the rooms and place them within the boundaries, and can connect the two rooms by fusing them together. Once the player is done arranging the rooms, they should speak with Grant é son.

Grant é son will have Rhondson come by and review the construction task, approving of the construction granting the player her blessing. She informs the player that there are numerous additional rooms and amenities available for purchase from Hudson Construction. Rhondson gives the player the Hudson Construction Fabric which can be applied to the paraglide r, completing the quest “Home On Arrange” in Tears of the Kingdom. The player can then speak with Grant é son at any time to preview and purchase additional rooms for their dream home.
