Hyrule is a big place in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, especially since it uses the same style of open world gameplay that Breath of the Wild did. While players can easily just focus on the main story and nothing else, they would miss out on all the great optional content.
Aside from Shrines, there are countless side quests for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players to undertake. Sometimes players will have to investigate a potential sighting of Princess Zelda, while others will involve helping villages that are under attack. The latter is the case for the side quest Village Attacked by Pirates.
How to Start Village Attacked by Pirates
This side quest can be picked up by going to Lookout Landing. Near the General Store, there are two NPCs talking to one another. Speak with the one on the right to hear about how their village was attacked by pirates recently. While players can inquire for additional details, simply talking to these two NPCs is enough to start the side quest.
Speak to Rozel
Once the quest begins, head southeast. Track this side quest to have a yellow circle appear on the map. Lurelin Village is on the southeastern edge of Hyrule, so if playes have not unlocked any fast travel points to that region they have a long journey ahead of them. Having some decent gear and a good amount of health and stamina is recommended.
Navigate down to the spot marked on the map to find Rozel, who is nearby the Sifumim Shrine. Rozel looks out at the village in dismay, as it has been completely destroyed by monsters.
Go Back to Lookout Landing
After talking to Rozel, the quest will update. Return to Lookout Landing and talk to the two NPCs that started this side quest. They are grateful to hear that all their fellow villagers managed to make it out of Lurelin Village alive. As a reward for the information, they give players Mighty Salt-Grilled Crab. While the side quest is finished at this point, players may want to go back to Lurelin Village to resolve the situation so that the villagers can return and rebuild.
If players choose to finish what they've started and clear out the village, they will need to come thoroughly prepared. There are several groups of enemies scattered throughout the ruins of Lurelin Village. There are plenty of resources that players can use for weapon fusion. While fighting the monsters in Lurelin Village, a health bar will appear. Players will know the job is done when the health bar is completely depleted. There is one enemy lurking in the well, so make sure to go down there and deal with it. Upon killing the last monster, players will automatically be transported to Rozel.
