Throughout their adventures in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players will come across many stables where Link can find respite and tend to his trusty horses. The stables are fantastic places not only to rest but also pick up the latest gossip and discover new side quests Link can take on to earn a variety of rewards.

Each stable in Tears of the Kingdom also offers a specific quest where the player can help the stable keeper by taking photographs of nearby landmarks. These quests unlock only after the player has cleared a temple that is part of the Regional Phenomena quest series. To unlock the quest "A Picture for Dueling Peaks Stable," the player must have completed any one temple; it does not matter which.

The Dueling Peaks Stable is located at coordinates (1748, -1921, 0010), just east of the Dueling Peaks, two large cliffs featuring a river running through them. The closest fast travel point is Eshos Shrine, which takes Link to the foot of the northern Dueling Peak. From there, Link can glide east to the stable, which is easily visible near the main road by its large horse head and smoke puffs. If Link does not have this shrine teleport available, he can fast travel to nearby Skyview Towers and glide down to the stable.

Upon reaching the stable, Link should go inside and interact with the empty picture frame on the wall. The stablekeeper, Tassaren, will explain that the Stable Association provided these frames to house beautiful paintings of Hyrule. Tassaren wants a painting of what he believes is "Hyrule's most beautiful sunrise," visible from the summit of Tuft Mountain overlooking Lurelin Village.

It’s important to note that the player needs to be at this location at an appropriate time in the morning, so they can witness and photograph the magnificent sunrise. Bringing materials for a campfire, including wood and anything to create fire, will allow the player to camp until morning and easily capture a photo of the sunrise when they wake.

To reach Tuft Mountain, Link must travel very far to the southeast, nearly reaching the coast. Fast traveling to Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower if unlocked and gliding south to Tuft Mountain is likely to be the easiest route. The player can spot the scimitar-shaped Geoglyph as a marker; the mountain is located just to its right. Depending on the player’s Stamina, additional climbing and Ascending may be necessary to reach the peak.

The player’s destination on Tuft Mountain is its summit at coordinates (2560, -3600, 0238). On the map, this is the mountain located below the heart-shaped lake and east of Yambi Lake. If this is the player’s first time reaching this area, a Korok pinwheel puzzle at the peak serves as a good marker of where they need to go. Once they have reached the top of the mountain, the player should rest until morning by creating a campfire if necessary.

Upon waking up, the player should look southeast toward the tip of the scimitar Geoglyph, pull out the Camera, and aim to capture the bright sunlight of the sunrise in the sky above. Ensure that the text label "Hyrule's finest sunrise" appears in the viewfinder and take the photo. Return to Dueling Peaks Stable and show Tassaren the photo to complete the quest "A Picture for Dueling Peaks Stable." Tassaren will reward the player with 1 Pony Point and a Hasty Apple Pie.
