All across the many regions of Hyrule, players can find shrines in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that are exactly the same as shrines found in Breath of the Wild. The premise is still the same. In order to gain more health and stamina, players must complete four shrines and then use the orbs they obtain at a Goddess Statue.
While many of the shrines are on the ground, there are some that can only be found on the islands that float high up in the sky. Unlike the other shrines, players have to solve a puzzle to unlock them. This guide will cover how Tears of the Kingdom players can reach and complete one such shrine called the Josiu Shrine.
How to Get to Josiu Shrine
In order to reach the Josiu Shrine, players will first need to open the door to the Sahasra Slope Skyeview Tower in the West Necluda Region. Once this tower is usable, launch up to into the sky and dive east toward a series of islands. The coordinates for the island where Josiu Shrine is located are 1760, -1208, 0924.
Josiu Shrine Walkthrough
While most shrines will typically just open once players interact with the glyph, that is not the case for Josiu Shrine. A voice will tell players that they must find a crystal connected to the beam. In order to solve this puzzle, players must follow the green beam to find a crystal. The solution is to find a way to bring the crystal back to the shrine. From the shrine, turn around and go toward a strange device with a floating piece of stone.
This can be used to turn the large curved piece of stone up ahead. Adjust it so that the far side connects with the island where the crystal is. Next, Tears of the Kingdom players will have to glide down toward the smaller floating island. Once underneath the island above, use the Ascend ability to reach the crystal.
This next part will require some preparation, as players will need seven Wing Zonai devices. More can be obtained from Zonai Device Dispensers if needed. Fuse them all together and place them down so that they form a bridge that will allow players to cross. To further stabilize the bridge, chop down the nearby tree and attach it to the front of the bridge before placing it.
Pick up the crystal and slowly walk across the improvised bridge. While there are other methods for solving this puzzle, this one works fairly well. Bring the crystal to the shrine, and it will open.
Go inside and open the chest to receive a
Large Zonai Charge. After that, approach the altar to receive the Light of Blessing. Since the puzzle outside provided a unique challenge, players will not need to solve any other puzzles to complete this shrine.
