The Upheaval in Tears of the Kingdom brought forth new monsters that didn't appear in Breath of the Wild. One species are Horriblins, which are primate-like creatures that prefer caves and dark places. Like any other monster, defeating them causes them to drop claws and horns that are used for armor upgrading and elixir crafting.
The type of
Horriblin Horn dropped by Horriblins depends on the species. Regular/Red Horriblins will drop Horriblin Horns while Blue Horriblins will drop Blue Horriblin Horns and so forth. If Tears of the Kingdom players intend on upgrading a certain armor set to its maximum level, they're going to need to farm every type of Horriblin Horn.
Horriblin Locations
The great news about Horriblins is that they appear in nearly every cave on The Surface. There are caves in Hyrule Field that are home to the weakest Horriblins. There are some in a cavern blocked by boulders near coordinates -0561, -1506, 0018 at the Great Plateau. If players need higher-quality Horriblin Horns, they'll want to look in more "challenging" areas:

The stronger Horriblins like the Silver and Black Horriblins won't start appearing until players have made progress in their playthrough. This means completing the main quests/temples or getting more Heart Containers and Stamina Wheels. Until then, they'll see the more-common Red and Blue Horriblins.
Desert Coliseum
The Desert Coliseum (-1344, -3711, -0480) is home to five rounds of Horriblins that Link must defeat in order to get Sheik's Mask. There's at least two of each type of Horriblin, but they can only be defeated once. After Link loots the chest containing Sheik's Mask, the Desert Coliseum will remain empty.
Deplian Badlands Cave (Minetak Shrine)
A great place to farm Horriblin Horns is near the Minetak Shrine. This Shrine is underground, so players will need to enter through the Deplian Badlands Cave (0306, 3581, 0089) first. The best way to reach the cave entrance is to go north from the Typhlo Ruins Skyview Tower (0338, 3123, 0174).
The tunnels below are pitch black, and players will need the help of Brightbloom Seeds to light the way. The Deplian Badlands Cave is also home to Blue, Black, and Silver Horriblins. Defeating both hordes of Horriblins will also unlock the nearby skull chests.
How to Defeat Horriblins
Horriblins crawl along the ceilings and wield spears or lances. This allows them to attack Link from a far distance, making them hard to hit with a melee weapon. Players will need to knock the Horriblin from the ceiling. They can do this by firing an arrow at the Horriblin's head. This will get a critical hit and stun them. When the Horriblin is on the ground, rush over and get in as many hits with a melee weapon before it recovers.
If players are struggling with landing headshots, they can fuse Shock Fruit or Fire Fruit to their arrows. Other elemental materials like Ice Fruit or Dazzling Fruit will work on Horriblins, too.
If players have the Vow of Tulin, then they should have Tulin's Avatar fighting alongside Link. Tulin frequently scores critical hits on enemies, making him ideal for fighting Horriblins. Another useful way of handling Horriblins is using the Vow of Riju. One strike of lightning is all it takes to get the Horriblins off the ceiling.
What to Do with Horriblin Horns
Horriblin Horns can be cooked with critters (ex: butterflies, lizards, frogs) to make Elixirs. The type of Elixir will depend on the critter, not the type of Horriblin Horn. They can also be fused to weapons. However, a more worthwhile investment is to use them for armor upgrades.
To upgrade armor, players will need to help the Stable Trotters. This will unlock the Great Fairies, thus allowing Link to upgrade his armor in exchange for specific materials and Rupees. Horriblin Horns are used for upgrading the Froggy Set, which can be obtained by doing the "Lucky Clover Gazette" Side Adventure.
Froggy Set upgrades require the following materials for each piece:
