The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom features one of the most vibrant and creative crafting systems found in modern gaming. While players have used this system to build absolutely awe-inspiring creations, Tears of the Kingdom also offers multiple options for players who prefer to build from a selection of blueprints that work in conjunction with the autobuild ability. The first option players will likely encounter is the Schema Stone, which are relatively limited in scope. Once players begin to explore the Depths, they will come across a much more abundant and interesting option: the Yiga Schematic.

Yiga Schematics, as their name implies, are blueprints for the machines used by the Yiga Clan. While exploring the Depths, Link will come across multiple Yiga hideouts, most of which contain a single Yiga Schematic. Each schematic will add one blueprint to Link's Autobuild menu. This guide will reveal all available Yiga schematics and where Link can find them in the Depths.

How to Find and Use Yiga Schematics in Tears of the Kingdom

TotK-Yiga-Schematics

Once Link gains access to the Depths early in Tears of the Kingdom, he can begin acquiring Yiga schematics. Currently, there is known to be 34 Yiga schematics spread out through every corner of the Depths.

Yiga hideouts can be found in a variety of forms, though they all have common traits. Whether towering over the Depths at the top of a massive rock pillar, or sitting out in the open at floor level, the Yiga hideout will always have a two-story building with a distinctive red glow emanating from hanging Yiga lanterns. The structure will usually have one of the large, mushroom-like 'trees' found throughout the Depths growing from the first story roof.

Yiga Clan members can also be seen, more often than not, driving or flying around the hideout. In many cases, the vehicles they are piloting will be the same construct learned from the hideout's Yiga schematic. Other times, the hideouts will be protected by traps, which also end up being what Link will learn from that hideouts schematic.

When Link comes across a Yiga hideout, he'll need to do the following to get the area's Yiga schematic:

  • Find the single Yiga Footsoldier with the red ring of runes around their body.
  • Find the hut with a door locked by the same type of red ring.
  • Defeat the Yiga Footsoldier with the ring to unlock the door to the hut.
  • Inside the hut, Link will find two chests, one with a Large Crystallized Essence and one with a Yiga Schematic.

When Link opens the chest with the Yiga Schematic, the craftable construct will be shown immediately in the Autobuild menu. From then on, Link can craft it whenever he has the parts or enough Zonaite to fabricate the parts.
