Summary

  • Zenless Zone Zero surpasses 50 million players after launching on July 4.
  • As a way to say thanks, players receive 1,600 Polychrome to aid in character pulls.
  • As part of the announcement, HoYoverse promises continuous optimization and updates for the game.

Following its release on July 4, Zenless Zone Zero has managed to surpass 50 million players and, as a thank you, Hoyoverse is giving all players a free gift. HoYoverse has continued to produce hits, first with Genshin Impact, then followed by Honkasi Star Rail. With its newest release, Zenless Zone Zero, HoYoverse moved away from that fantasy element and instead created a game set in a futuristic urban setting and embracing a more action RPG style.

This combination of fast action mixed with roguelite elements has proven to be a hit with fans, first indicated by Zenless Zone Zero's global pre-registration campaign, which gave players rewards when various milestones were hit by those wishlisting or preordering the game prior to launch. The highest tier of this campaign was set at an eye-watering 40 million, a number which was quickly reached and gave players access to 12 Master Tapes, a resource used to pull for new characters and weapons similar to previous Hoyoverse releases. While Zenless Zone Zero was able to reach 40 million players, that number only continued to rise after the game launched.

In a new post on Twitter, Zenless Zone Zero revealed that the game has surpassed 50 million downloads worldwide across all platforms. The post also provided players with what to expect in the short and long term, with HoYoverse promising to continue optimizing the game's performance and listening to feedback. It's an impressive number for a game that just launched and, similar to HoYoverse's other titles, Zenless Zone Zero will continue to evolve and expand, ensuring that players continue to log in and spend. In fact, both Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail continue to pull in huge amounts of revenue for HoYoverse, something that Zenless Zone Zero will likely start contributing to as well.

Zenless Zone Zero Free Gift

  • 1,600 Polychrome

As a way to thank players for checking out the game, Hoyoverse announced that all players will be getting 1,600 polychrome in Zenless Zone Zero. Polychrome is a currency that can be used to help pull new characters and can be exchanged for Master Tapes, which are similar to Primogems in Genshin Impact or Stellar Jade in Honkai Star Rail. In order to claim the reward, players will need to reach Inter-Knot level 1 or higher, which is achieved fairly early on in the main campaign. The polychrome will need to be claimed before the eventual release of Version 1.1, which currently doesn't have a release date, but either way, players will want to make sure to claim the items sooner than later.

All in all, new players to Zenless Zone Zero have an abundance of rewards to claim, which should ease the onboarding aspect. In addition to codes that can be redeemed, Zenless Zone Zero players can also claim 100 free banner pulls as they play, though keep in mind that some of these rewards can't be claimed until certain conditions are met, such as first achieving a certain Inter-Knot level.

Don't go into the Hollows.
I know, I know, there's Ether in the Hollows, bizarre creations, even heritage of the old civilization, all precious treasures. But don't forget, there's also spatial disorder, monsters and mutants running rampant, and ultimately, a disaster that could swallow the world. They are not a place where ordinary people should go.
So don't go into Hollows.
Or at least, don't go in alone.
If you insist on getting into danger, go to New Eridu first.
This city where the good and the bad mix has many people who need the Hollows: Powerful wealthy tycoons, gangs that stalk the streets, conspiracy nuts, and ruthless officials.
Make your preparations there, find strong allies, and most importantly—
Find a "Proxy".
Only they can guide people out of the maze-like Hollows.
Good luck!
