How to Get New W-Engines

W-Engines are specialized equipment items that function much like weapons in other games. These items are specifically designed to enhance your Agents and work by boosting their Base Attack (ATK) when equipped. Apart from their base attack advantage, each W-Engine also offers a few other distinct benefits and buffs to your agents.

However, it is important to note that your agents can only equip one W-Engine at a time. This limitation can be mitigated by upgrading and customizing these items. Doing so will not only help improve their attack power (ATK) but also increase their overall effectiveness in combat.

Luckily, there are several ways to obtain W-Engines in the game:

Pull from Signal Search (Gacha System)

To acquire W-Engines through the Signal Search gacha system, you'll need Master Tapes along with Encrypted Master Tapes. These items can be purchased using Polychromes.

Gadget Shop (Box Galaxy on Sixth Street)

At the Gadget Shop, you can buy W-Engines directly using Dennies, W-Engine Chips, and W-Engine modification materials. These materials can be obtained by recycling unwanted W-Engines at the same shop.

Proxy Primers

Certain W-Engines can be earned by completing missions in the Proxy Primer. These missions are integral to the game's progression and can be completed as you advance through the storyline and other game activities.

How to Modify or Upgrade W-Engines

As you advance in the game and reach a certain Inter-Knot level, and have gathered enough power sources, you'll unlock the ability to upgrade W-Engines.

Go to the Agent menu and select the Agent with the W-Engine.
Equip the W-Engine and enter the Equipment menu.
Select Enhance in the bottom right corner.
Look for the Stars to update W-Engines, or the Level bar to modify the W-Engine at the top of the menu.
Make sure you have all the required materials for the update or modification.
Select Confirm or Modify to initiate the process.
