Zenless Zone Zero has officially revealed all the details for upcoming S-Rank character Hugo's signature W-Engine, providing some major boosts to Crit stats. The ongoing Version 1.7 update to the HoYoverse urban action RPG has brought a plethora of new content to the game as the developer looks to wrap up its "Season 1." The first half of the patch introduced Vivian as a new S-Rank Anomaly character, the return of the Fall Guys-inspired mini-game with Bangboo Bash, and plenty more. Now, the update is gearing up to move into its second half with lots to come.

HoYoverse has already given fans multiple teasers about what's to come with the second half of Zenless Zone Zero's Version 1.7 update. The second half will kick off with the long-awaited release of new S-Rank character Hugo Vlad, debuting as an Ice Attack unit after appearing prominently within Zenless Zone Zero's story. HoYoverse will also introduce several new events during Version 1.7's second half, including "Springtime Snapshots" and "A Tale Through the Looking Glass" among others. A new update is now detailing Version 1.7's featured S-Rank W-Engine for its second half.

Zenless Zone Zero officially unveiled the newest W-Engine coming to the game late Saturday night, introducing a powerful Attack-oriented W-Engine. Hugo's signature W-Engine, "Myriad Eclipse," will grant 713 Base ATK to its user when fully leveled to Level 60, coupled with an impressive Crit Rate bonus of 24% as its sub-stat. Myriad Eclipse's W-Engine Effect provides a similarly strong boost of 45% to the user's Crit DMG, while adding a DEF shredding effect when dealing Ice DMG with Chain Attacks, EX Special Attacks, or Ultimates. Hugo and his signature W-Engine will release later this week on May 14.

Crit Rate: 24%
W-Engine Effect: False Personas: Increases Crit DMG by 45%. When using an EX Special Attack, Chain Attack, or Ultimate to deal Ice DMG, the equipper gains the Absolute Zero Death Sentence effect for 3 seconds. While Absolute Zero Death Sentence is active, the character ignores 25% of the enemy's DEF when landing a hit.

Hugo's impressive W-Engine will not only look to benefit the new Ice Attack character, but could also be utilized by a particular pre-existing unit. Version 1.0 S-Rank character Ellen once served as one of the game's most popular Attack characters following its launch, able to dish out Ice damage quickly and effectively combined with her high mobility. The Shark Thiren could likely look to make use of Hugo's W-Engine to boost her own damage, given her penchant for Crit stats.

The release of Hugo and his signature W-Engine will serve as a precursor to the launch of one of Zenless Zone Zero's biggest updates yet. The upcoming Version 2.0 will introduce an entirely new district to the game with Waifei Peninsula, kicking off Zenless Zone Zero's second major story arc. The developer has already confirmed three new characters players will be able to pick up during the update, with Yixuan, Pan Yinhu, and Ju Fufu set to make their playable debut. Zenless Zone Zero looks to have lots of exciting content on the way throughout the coming weeks.
