A new leak from Zenless Zone Zero is showing off the in-game model for the new Nicole skin expected to release during the Version 1.5 update. The urban action RPG from HoYoverse gives players a plethora of ways to outfit their characters in the game with different equipment, providing powerful unique buffs and strengthening each character's playstyle. From W-Engines and Drive Discs to Additional Abilities granting bonuses based on a character's party members, players have plenty of options to improve their characters. However, a new update looks to be giving one character a cosmetic upgrade.

While Zenless Zone Zero has yet to officially implement alternate skins for characters, new looks for old characters have become a staple of one of HoYoverse's past games. Genshin Impact has added multiple new skins for its characters, typically introducing two new sets of skins with each region's cycle. HoYoverse even recently announced the next pair of skins that would be coming to the RPG, with fan-favorite Liyue characters Hu Tao and Xiangling receiving new outfits in the game's next update. Now, Zenless Zone Zero could potentially be implementing its first skin.

Zenless Zone Zero Leak Shows Nicole Skin

A new leak shared to the Zenless Zone Zero leaks subreddit via prominent leaker Dim is showcasing the in-game model for Nicole's new skin. The outfit swaps out Nicole's typical attire for an array of pastel colors, sporting splashes of pink and light-blue across most of her outfit. Nicole's usual black hair ties are switched for a pair of yellow ribbons, with even her usual black briefcase weapon swapped out for a white variant. Nicole's new skin is currently expected to release with the Version 1.5 update, scheduled to launch on January 22.

The addition of a skin for Nicole within Zenless Zone Zero would strike plenty of chords for HoYoverse's traditional strategy with its character skins. Each set of Genshin Impact skins typically includes a new skin for a four-star character, with HoYoverse often focusing the four-star skins on characters that have been given out for free. Nicole also serves as one of the RPG's most popular characters, becoming a fan-favorite for her design and personality while being one of Zenless Zone Zero's starter characters.

A new skin for Nicole is just part of several pieces of content set to arrive to the beloved RPG in Version 1.5. Zenless Zone Zero's next update will introduce the game's newest faction, with S-Rank characters Astra Yao and Evelyn Chevalier joining as the first members of the "Stars of Lyra" musical group.
