The TV mode is a system that directly correlates what happens inside a Hollow, and players often need to successfully traverse it to leave the Hollow.

This system is mainly divided between exploration and combat. The exploration style is mainly puzzle-based; some can be real nail-biters. For example, the Detective Rewind Commission. This is a commission that players can pick up once they unlock Lumina Square after Chapter 2- Interlude.

How To Unlock The Detective Rewind Commission In Zenless Zone Zero

Once you have completed Chapter 2 - Interlude and unlocked Lumina Square, then this mission will be released. You will have to unlock the Officer Mewmew in the area and play through the game until the commission pops up.

Head to the Public Sector Station in the afternoon and find a ‘Strange Man’ and ‘Cold Bangboo.’ Rost will then post a commission on the Inter-Knot, so just head to the tab and look for the commission titled Bangboo Operation Log s to accept it. Then, use the HDD and complete the puzzles.

Follow the navigation, and once you enter the first valve puzzle, follow these directions to unlock it:

  1. Push the bottom right one left
  2. Push the bottom left one up
  3. Push the top right one down
  4. Push the bottom right one left
  5. Push the top right down

Once the puzzle is complete, follow the navigation and watch the recording play out until you have to solve the second puzzle.

Much like the first puzzle, the second one is also pretty complicated and includes a lot of moves:

  1. Push the top right one left
  2. Push the top left one down
  3. Push the bottom middle one up
  4. Push the top right one left
  5. Push the bottom right one up
  6. Push the top left one right
  7. Push the top right one down
  8. Push the top right one left
  9. Push the bottom middle one up

Once the puzzle is complete, just follow through the playback until you reach the final puzzle.

Thankfully, the third puzzle is the easiest, as you only have to shift a few valves to connect it. Here are the correct steps:

  1. Push the bottom left one up
  2. Push the middle right one left
  3. Push the bottom right one up

The puzzle is now complete, so just follow through the story and exit the HDD system. Speak to Rost when you’re done and receive your rewards.
