Zenless Zone Zero has officially revealed the newest character coming to the popular action RPG during the Version 1.1 update, showing off five-star character Qingyi. The launch of the newest game from Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse has already seen plenty of success following its initial debut, with fans quickly flocking to the game. Zenless Zone Zero would pass 50 million downloads within just two days of its release with a cast of seventeen characters available during Version 1.0. Now, Version 1.1's first half will feature the newest five-star character.

Serving alongside Zhu Yuan with New Eridu Public Security, Qingyi was the first post-launch character to be revealed for Zenless Zone Zero's lineup. Qingyi has already made an appearance during Version 1.0, playing a major role in the Chapter 2 Interlude following the N.E.P.S. Members. HoYoverse also confirmed she will be joined by two other new characters in Version 1.1, with five-star unit Jane Doe and four-star character Seth appearing during the update's second half. HoYoverse is now giving players a sneak peek at Qingyi's gameplay with its newest trailer.

A new trailer for Zenless Zone Zero, titled "Youthful Appearance, Old Soul," gives players their first teaser at Qingyi in Zenless Zone Zero, The humorous trailer, showing Qingyi and a group of elderly people taking down gangsters harassing a Bangboo, gives a brief look at Qingyi's attacks, showing off her acrobatic moves in combat. The video also gives players an idea of Qingyi's personality, contrasting her attitude and demeanor with the youthful appearance of her robotic body. Qingyi and Version 1.1 will release on August 14.

Zenless Zone Zero Reveals Version 1.1 Five-Star Character Qingyi

While Qingyi's "Character Demo" trailer served as a flashy, cinematic introduction to the character, she is expected to make a splash following her Zenless Zone Zero release. Qingyi will debut as an Electric Stun character, with her gameplay focusing around utilizing the game's Daze mechanic and enhancing her Basic Attacks. Qingyi is expected to pair particularly well with her New Eridu Public Security partner in Zhu Yuan, currently believed to be an ideal support character for the Version 1.0 five-star.

Qingyi's addition to Zenless Zone Zero's roster is far from the only new content planned for the RPG's first post-launch update. Zenless Zone Zero's Version 1.1 Special Program showed off a variety of new additions to the game, including the next expansion of the game's Main Story and a new Agent Story for Qingyi. Several new game modes will also be added in Version 1.1, with time trial mode "Inferno Reap," mini-games "Camellia Golden Week" and "First-Class Customer Service" and a selfie mode for the in-game camera. Zenless Zone Zero's first new update is set to maintain the momentum from the game's debut.
