Zenless Zone Zero has officially revealed another new character coming to the game with the launch of the Version 2.0 update, teasing Ju Fufu as part of Season 2's initial cast. The urban action RPG from HoYoverse is gearing up for one of the game's biggest updates yet, with the highly-anticipated "Season 2" set to release in just over a month. The update will introduce the Waifei Peninsula as the game's newest major location, as well as kicking off the second major arc of the game's story. Now, a plethora of new characters look to be on the way.

In the days following the release of Zenless Zone Zero's Version 1.7, HoYoverse has shown off multiple characters appearing in the game's next update. The developer teased the first two featured characters for Version 2.0 on Friday night, showing off both Yixuan and Pan Yinhu as expected S-Rank characters. The Season 2 teaser trailer also included plenty more characters set to be added beyond Version 2.0, including the long-awaited "Angels of Delusion" virtual idol faction. Zenless Zone Zero has now revealed yet another character joining the roster in Version 2.0.

Zenless Zone Zero unveiled the Version 2.0 update's third playable character on Friday night, introducing fans to Ju Fufu. Ju Fufu will debut as the third member of the new Yunkui Summit faction, shown to be an adorable cat Thiren with a design modeled after a tiger and a large fluffy tail. HoYoverse also confirmed some gameplay details for Ju Fufu as well, with her "Agent Record" post revealing she will debut as a new Fire Stun character. HoYoverse did not confirm Ju Fufu's rarity within the post, though her late reveal suggests she will likely be an A-Rank character.

Ju Fufu's addition to the Version 2.0 update's lineup suggests the game will be seeing a sizable roster expansion to kick off its newest season. HoYoverse has often frontloaded its characters throughout similar cycles in its other game, with new regions typically seeing multiple new characters with each update. Zenless Zone Zero has also maintained its impressive roster expansions since launch, with every update so far adding two new S-Rank characters. Ju Fufu and Version 2.0 are scheduled to release on June 4.

Zenless Zone Zero's "Season 2" expansion will come near the end of a successful first year for the HoYoverse action RPG. The game debuted last July to similar success as its predecessors, quickly amassing more than 50 million downloads within just a few days of its launch. Each update to Zenless Zone Zero has also seen a significant amount of content added to the game, most recently debuting new characters Hugo and Vivian with the Version 1.7 update. Fans should have lots to look forward to from one of Zenless Zone Zero's biggest updates yet.
