A new Zenless Zone Zero leak has revealed an event with a platformer-like game mode for Version 1.5. Zenless Zone Zero's next update is expected to launch in late January with the introduction of characters Astra Yao and Evelyn and more content.

Earlier in December, Zenless Zone Zero launched Version 1.4, which added two new playable characters and an S-Rank Bangboo. The update also added two permanent gameplay modes that focus primarily on battle. However, Zenless Zone Zero tends to introduce temporary game modes for special events that involve different gameplay experiences. For example, the RPG recently began its "Bangboo vs Ethereal" limited event, which features a tower defense game mode with Bangboo. It seems yet another special gameplay mode is coming to Zenless Zone Zero in the next update, according to a new leak.

A recent Zenless Zone Zero leak is hinting at the leveling materials players will need for Version 1.5 S-Rank characters Astra Yao and Evelyn.

Community leaker Palito has reported that a multiplayer platformer game mode is landing on Zenless Zone Zero during Version 1.5. The leak includes screenshots of several stages that are very similar to other titles like Fall Guys. According to the leak, this game mode might not be permanent, but exclusive to the upcoming "Grand Marcel" event. It is unclear whether players will enter the platform stages as their preferred character or as Bangboo, though. The event will likely grant players juicy rewards like Polychromes, aside from the extra free pulls rumored for Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5.

Zenless Zone Zero Leak Reveals Platformer Game Mode Event

While a platformer gameplay mode would be new to Zenless Zone Zero, developer HoYoverse has previously introduced a similar event in another title. During Honkai Impact 3rd's 6.1 update in 2022, an event called "Midnight Chronicle" had players compete in Fall Guys-like stages. At that time, fans played as chibi versions of Honkai Impact 3rd characters, so there is a chance that Zenless Zone Zero might follow the same route. Of course, Zenless Zone Zero's Bangboo are very popular as well. The game allows fans to play as Bangboo in certain scenarios like the Hollow Zero mode, but fans have long been asking for more opportunities to roam around as Bangboo.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 is set to arrive on January 22. The update will add the long-awaited Astra Yao and her bodyguard Evelyn to the playable roster. Earlier leaks also pointed at Zenless Zone Zero's first character skin for Nicole, who has been a fan-favorite since the game launched. There were also rumors that another day-one character, Ellen, would receive her own Agent Story in the next patch.
