Recent Zenless Zone Zero leaks hint at a new Bangboo dress-up event that may become a permanent game mode starting with Version 1.5. While Zenless Zone Zero's next update is scheduled for release on January 22, several rumors about its content have already surfaced within the community.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.4 added a ton of content for players to enjoy, including the S-Rank units Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, with the latter being free for all players. The patch also added two new permanent game modes focused on combat and challenges that offer fans various rewards like Polychrome and Boopon. While Zenless Zone Zero is notably an action RPG, the game has previously featured events with different game modes, like the recent "Bangboo vs Ethereal" event with a tower defense play style. It seems developers might add another non-combat game mode in Version 1.5 that could become permanent, according to recent leaks.

Zenless Zone Zero Teases New In-Game Area

Zenless Zone Zero is showing off a new location within its most recent trailer, suggesting fans may soon get to visit the extravagant area.

A new report from reliable community leaker Flying Flame revealed that a new Bangboo dress-up gameplay mode for Version 1.5 would be permanently available after the update. Per the leak, the game mode will be first introduced through a Bangboo Beauty Contest event. Players will have the chance to customize Eous' outfits for the competition. Players might remember Eous as Wise and Belle's personal Bangboo and Zenless Zone Zero's mascot. Flying Flame also leaked some screenshots of the event, which showed several clothing items for Eous to mix and match. The report added that, while the dress-up game mode would eventually become permanent, players would not be able to claim the event's limited-time rewards once it ends. According to the rumors, this Bangboo dress-up event would offer the long-rumored skin for Zenless Zone Zero's Nicole Demara.

Zenless Zone Zero Leaks Reveal New Permanent Bangboo Dress-Up Gameplay

Aside from the Bangboo dress-up event, earlier Version 1.5 leaks hinted at another event with special gameplay. There are rumors that Zenless Zone Zero may add a platformer game mode for a limited time during the update. Developer HoYoverse has actually implemented permanent game modes that aren't combat-related in other RPGs, like Honkai: Star Rail's cocktail-mixing mode or Genshin Impact's Genius Invokation TCG.

HoYoverse has confirmed that Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 will mark the debut of Astra Yao and Evelyn as S-Rank playable characters, as well as a new area and a new main story chapter. With the update being only weeks away, Zenless Zone Zero will likely share more information in the upcoming days.

Don't go into the Hollows.
I know, I know, there's Ether in the Hollows, bizarre creations, even heritage of the old civilization, all precious treasures. But don't forget, there's also spatial disorder, monsters and mutants running rampant, and ultimately, a disaster that could swallow the world. They are not a place where ordinary people should go.
So don't go into Hollows.
Or at least, don't go in alone.
If you insist on getting into danger, go to New Eridu first.
This city where the good and the bad mix has many people who need the Hollows: Powerful wealthy tycoons, gangs that stalk the streets, conspiracy nuts, and ruthless officials.
Make your preparations there, find strong allies, and most importantly—
Find a "Proxy".
Only they can guide people out of the maze-like Hollows.
Good luck!
