Zenless Zone Zero has officially revealed the next new Bangboo set to be added to the game during the Version 1.7 update, showcasing Robin as Hugo's partner. The urban action RPG from HoYoverse provides players with plenty of options and nuance when building teams, between team compositions and balancing different Attributes and Paths. Players are often tasked with deciding whether to focus on Attack characters or Anomaly setups, as well as choosing optimal Support characters, Stun units, and more. Now, one of Zenless Zone Zero's most unique team-building aspects is seeing a new option.

Bangboos serve an important purpose both within the story of Zenless Zone Zero and when deciding on a team composition within the game. Bangboos serve as one of the main ways New Eridu's "Proxies" communicate with Agents inside the Hollows, acting as a guide through the labyrinth-like environments. Bangboos also play an important role in team-building, with players able to choose one Bangboo to accompany their teams and assist with special attacks and buffs in combat. HoYoverse is now showing off a new Bangboo coming with Version 1.7's second half.

Zenless Zone Zero showcased the newest Bangboo coming to the urban action RPG late Friday night, introducing players to new Bangboo Robin. The flashy reveal images show off Robin acting as something akin to a magician and "phantom thief," swinging into action with a grappling gun and slinging playing cards at its enemies. The post also reveals Robin's special attack within Zenless Zone Zero, shooting playing cards at enemies and causing different effects based on the type of card. Robin will officially be available following the debut of Version 1.7's second half, alongside Hugo's release.

Robin will likely look to match up well with the five-star character releasing alongside the Bangboo in Version 1.7's second half. Hugo is set to join Zenless Zone Zero's roster as a new Ice Attack character, heavily focusing around his EX Special Attack and utilizing his unique "Totalize" debuff. Hugo is also expected to pair well in parties with multiple Stun characters, with stunning enemies being a major requirement for Hugo to trigger Totalize's damage-boosting effects.

Hugo and Robin's release is far from the only major content on the way for Zenless Zone Zero within the coming months. The next update following Version 1.7 will be Zenless Zone Zero's highly-anticipated Version 2.0 update, introducing the Waifei Peninsula as the newest district players can explore. The patch will also add three new characters to the game's playable cast with Yixuan, Pan Yinhu, and Ju Fufu all joining Zenless Zone Zero with Version 2.0. Zenless Zone Zero fans should have lots to look forward to from the RPG in the near future.
