Thankfully, the drip marketing has already begun for the highly anticipated Version 2.0 of Zenless Zone Zero, after HoYoverse gave fans an early tease at some of the big gameplay changes and additions coming over the summer. However, as the studio has done for each new update, they're giving fans a detailed rundown of Version 2.0 in a special livestream event, which should confirm things like banners, the story, and plenty more.
Zenless Zone Zero Leak Hints at New Skins for Main Characters
A new Zenless Zone Zero leak suggests that the game's main characters will receive a unique cosmetics system during Version 2.0.
In a new post on social media, HoYoverse revealed that the next Special Program livestream for Version 2.0 is set to arrive later this week on May 23. Version 2.0, known as Where Clouds Embrace the Dawn marks the start of Season 2 for the game and appears to represent the biggest change to the game since it launched last July. Part of that will be with Zenless Zone Zero's newest agent known as Yixuan. The upcoming leader of the Yunkui Summit will also be joined by Pan Yinhu and Ju Fufu.

However, new banners aren't the only thing coming in Version 2.0. Alongside a brand-new storyline, players will be taken to a completely new area of known as Failume Heights as part of Waifei Peninsula. The location is rumored to be much larger than other zones in the game, with HoYoverse planning to expand the area over time. New updates to the core game are also expected, with one leak teasing that the Zenless Zone Zero fast travel system is being overhauled from a scroll list to an actual map of New Eridu.
For many players, one of the bigger events to arrive during Version 2.0 will be Zenless Zone Zero's first anniversary since it originally launched. Many are expecting to see a tease or some details on what HoYoverse has planned, though rumors about Zenless Zone Zero's anniversary rewards seem to indicate that players will be earning quite a bit of resources, from Polychromes, free pulls, and perhaps an S-Rank Agent and W-Engine as well.

I know, I know, there's Ether in the Hollows, bizarre creations, even heritage of the old civilization, all precious treasures. But don't forget, there's also spatial disorder, monsters and mutants running rampant, and ultimately, a disaster that could swallow the world. They are not a place where ordinary people should go.
So don't go into Hollows.
Or at least, don't go in alone.
If you insist on getting into danger, go to New Eridu first.
This city where the good and the bad mix has many people who need the Hollows: Powerful wealthy tycoons, gangs that stalk the streets, conspiracy nuts, and ruthless officials.
Make your preparations there, find strong allies, and most importantly—
Find a "Proxy".
Only they can guide people out of the maze-like Hollows.
