Best Evelyn Weapons In ZZZ

Evelyn is a strong Attack character in Zenless Zone Zero. However, with great power comes great responsibility. Only this time, she’s not the one responsible, as the players who pull for her are the ones who will have to worry about managing her stats.

Building Evelyn can be complicated in Zenless Zone Zero. However, with Crit Rate being in her Core passive and many of the Attack W-Engines having Crit Rate in their Sub-stat, it’s not that hard to reach her requirements.

1 Heartstring Nocturne

Advanced Stat	24% CRIT Rate
Effect	CRIT DMG increases by 50%. When the equipper enters the battlefield, or activates a Chain Attack or Ultimate, they gain 1 stack of Heartstring. Each stack of Heartstring allows the equipper's Chain Attack and Ultimate to ignore 12.5% of the target's Fire RES, stacking up to 2 times and lasting 30s. Repeated triggers reset the duration.

As her Signature weapon, Heartstring Nocturne is easily the best W-Engine for Evelyn in Zenless Zone Zero. The W-Engine grants Evelyn a 24% Crit Rate alongside 50% extra Crit DMG, which is an insane Crit value for an Attack character. Evelyn also gets to shred enemies’ resistance to Fire by up to 25% every time she triggers her Chain Attack or casts her Ultimate.

There’s no doubt that Heartstring Nocturne is Evelyn's Best-in-Slot W-Engine in Zenless Zone Zero because it solves all her problems. The Crit Rate gets her closer to the 80% mark to activate the full potential of her Additional Ability, while the Crit DMG and the Fire resistance debuff will greatly increase her DPS.

2 Deep Sea Visitor

Advanced Stat	24% CRIT Rate
Effect	Increases Ice DMG by 25%. Upon hitting an enemy with a Basic Attack, the equipper's CRIT Rate increases by 10% for 8s. When dealing Ice DMG with a Dash Attack, the equipper's CRIT Rate increases by an additional 10% for 15s. The duration of each effect is calculated separately.

Although Deep Sea Visitor works better with characters that deal Ice DMG, it’s still one of the best W-Engines for Evelyn in Zenless Zone Zero. The 5-star featured W-Engine increases her Crit Rate by 34% endlessly, which is the easiest among any other W-Engine. Crit Rate is a crucial stat for Evelyn since it’s where she gets an insane buff to her Chain Attack and Ultimate, and these are her strongest abilities.

3 Riot Suppressor Mark VI

Advanced Stat	48% Crit DMG
Effect	Increases CRIT Rate by 15%. Launching an EX Special Attack grants the equipper 8 Charge stacks, up to a maximum of 8 stacks. Whenever the equipper's Basic Attack deals Ether DMG, consumes a Charge stack and increases the skill's DMG by 35%.

Riot Suppressor Mark VI boosts Evelyn’s Crit DMG by 48% while increasing her Crit Rate by 15%. It’s a close W-Engine to her Signature weapon, but not as good, even stat-wise. As for the rest of the W-Engine’s passive, it’s a 35% extra DMG locked behind the user dealing Ether DMG, which is not Evelyn’s element. So, sadly, Evelyn can’t get anything from the Riot Suppressor Mark VI but its Crit value. Similarly, players can also consider Zanshin Herb Case, which is Harumasa's BiS.

4 Steel Cushion

Effect	Increases Physical DMG by 20%. The equipper's DMG increases by 25% when attacking the enemy from behind.

Another W-Engine that made the list just because of its Crit Rate Sub-stat. Steel Cushion can only offer a Crit Rate for Evelyn since the rest of its passive have requirements incompatible with her gameplay and mechanics. However, Evelyn can occasionally trigger the weapon’s 25% DMG buff if she somehow hits an enemy from behind.

5 The Brimstone

Effect	Upon hitting an enemy with a Basic Attack, Dash Attack, or Dodge Counter, the equipper's ATK increases by 3.5% for 8s, stacking up to 8 times. This effect can trigger once every 0.5s. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.

Since The Brimstone doesn’t carry any Crit Rate in its Sub-stat and passive, you can only use the W-Engine if you already managed to get Evelyn's 80% Crit Rate requirement. If you did, then The Brimstone offers a great amount of ATK%, which will notably improve her DPS in Zenless Zone Zero.

6 Marcato Desire

Advanced Stat	20% CRIT Rate
W5 Effect	When an EX Special Attack or Chain Attack hits an enemy, the equipper's ATK increases by 9.6% for 8s. While the target is under an Attribute Anomaly, this effect is increased by an additional 9.6%.

Marcato Desire is a F2P W-Engine with Crit Rate Sub-Stat, released in version 1.4 of Zenless Zone Zero. The 4-star W-Engine has a decent Base ATK alongside a 20% Crit Rate. As for its passive effect, the weapon grants Evelyn around 19% ATK, which is a good increase in her DPS, but not enough to be comparable to the other 5-star W-Engines in Zenless Zone Zero. Similarly, Cannon Rotor is also a good stat-stick to boost Evelyn's Crit Rate.

7 Street Superstar

W5 Effect	Whenever a squad member launches a Chain Attack, the equipper gains 1 Charge stack, stacking up to 3 times. Upon activating their own Ultimate, the equipper consumes all Charge stacks, and each stack increases the skill's DMG by 24%.

Street Superstar is another W-Engine that doesn’t offer Evelyn any Crit Rate for her Additional Ability. However, the weapon can insanely boost her Ultimate’s DMG, which is one of the best and most used skills in her kit. Having a 72% extra DMG on her Ultimate on top of 25% ATK from Street Superstar’s Sub-stat is definitely good for Evelyn.
