Fishing in ZZZ — Zenless Zone Zero Fishing

To catch fish, you need to go to the pier in Port Elpis. The fishing spot is right in front of the warning sign with the tentacle on it — interact with the sign to start the fishing minigame. In order to catch fish, you'll need to do the following:

Wait for the ring to touch the rim of the button on the lower-right side of the screen.
Pay attention to the buttons that appear on your screen. You will either have to hold the button or repeatedly tap it.
Repeat Step 2 until the fish's stamina is depleted.

ZZZ Elpis Ultimate Angler Event — Zenless Zone Zero Elpis Ultimate Angler Event

Belle and Wise have found themselves in yet another financial crisis, and under Qingyi's recommendation, the siblings set off to participate in the Elpis Ultimatte Angler competition. In this event, all you need to do is compete with other contestants and catch fish to win a variety of prizes, including Denny and a ton of Polychromes in ZZZ.

There is an underlying story behind this event involving PubSec and an art thief, so expect some exposition and some combat missions in a Hollow as well.

Fishing Certificate

ZZZ Fishing Permit — Zenless Zone Zero Fishing Permit

As you catch fish and complete the event's story beats, you'll level up your Fishing Permit, which will unlock a number of perks related to fishing and other portions of the event. These bonuses range from better odds of catching rare fish, to Skill and ATK boosts when in combat encounters.

The Fish Encyclopedia

ZZZ Fish Encyclopedia — Zenless Zone Zero Fish Encyclopedia

Every fish you catch will get logged in the Fish Encyclopedia, increasing the total number of Stars you have. Once you reach specific Star thresholds, you'll be able to claim bonus Angler Points for leveling up your Fishing Certificate.

Some fish are locked behind the Elpis Ultimate Angler event's story, which means you won't be able to catch them until you get to the bottom of the art theft case with Qingyi and Zhu Yuan.

Port Anecdotes

Port Anecdotes are short side stories involving different characters, including ZZZ agents like Lycaon and Rina, as well as various Bangboo that the Proxies have encountered over the course of their adventures. Expect to do a bit of fishing and fighting when doing Port Anecdotes — make sure to complete them all to get all the rewards this event has to offer.
