Favorite change: additions to quests, and new/expanded areas.
Least favorite change: they Dropped the best part of the Previous Remake, the Travelers Parcheesi Boards, And worse, Took Away Poor Kandar's Name... He may be a Filthy Robbing Hoodlum, but that's no Reason to Rename Him Robbin' Hood... What was wrong with Kandar? I do get the Renaming of Isis to Ibis, though...A certain Terrorist group Ruined that Egyptian Goddess's name for everyone.
Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake: 7 Hardest Bosses, Ranked
Well... They have different names in some cases, so I'll put both in places where I know both...
The classic Dracolord and Dragovian lord/Dracolord2 are definitely Iconic, and we can't forget Deathmore/Mordamor, Estark/Esterk, Mudou/Murdaw, mirudrass, etc....
But the two most Iconic Boss monsters I can think of Are That Annoying Jester, Dhoulmagus, And Pizzaro/Psaro the Manslayer... Both were Everpresent Threats, lurking in the back ground, Who seemed like Active Antagonists, unlike most of the others, Who are just There in the world Somewhere... They Made it seem like you were Always just one step behind the Two... And They both Also triggered Emotion in players.
Pizzaro/Psaro made us feel for him, he was Evil, but really his Evil was Kinda Vindicated, And A certain Group of Humans Were the Real Villains... It doesn't Redeem his actions, But it makes Him a Sympathetic Villain.
Dhoulmagus however Triggered Annoyance and Rage. They REALLY wrote an unlikeable Villain for DQ8...
And Another Iconic Final Boss, So Important that he STILL hasn't been in a main series game, or even others in the spinoff series: Darck. The big bad of Dragon Quest Monsters 2. Iconic in the fact that he LITERALLY COMES OUT OF NOWHERE. No plot hints toward him, no legends or rumours... Just "BAM!" And he's there, and to get the magic plug you have to beat him... A truly unexpected Twist, given that the FIRST monsters game didn't even HAVE a traditional boss...(Technically, it had ALL of them, but still, they were postgame content)
