The Sonic the Hedgehog Movies Bring Back A Beloved Old Trope
People love the chili dog references because it's the strongest connection to a long forgotten era of Sonic's western media themes. If they made more references to themes, items, Mobius and forgotten characters, the fanbase would equally be crazy for that, too.
