Even in oblivion horses aren't obsolete. Make a spell with fortify athletics, acrobatics and speed 100 + water walking all on touch and use it on your horse before mounting and you'll go zooming around way faster than you can run on foot. Just make sure to use shadowmere because normal horses will die when you inevitably go careening off of a cliff.

I hope 6 brings back athletics and acrobatics though. I really love the ability to jump off the surface of water and even if it is super unrealistic I'd like to see that return. The older TES games basically let you turn yourself into a superpowered god, but they've toned it down each game which is no fun. A max level Nerevarine mage would kill a max level Dragonborn without breaking a sweat. They could just fly past a mile in the sky dropping magical nukes like they're the Enola Gay.

My only desire for future games from them is that they ditch procedural generation and cut way back on radiant quests and go back to what made their older games great, bespoke worlds and handcrafted quests with stories to them, not a million 'go to (random place) and kill (random enemy) then collect (random item)'. I know they wanted to try to add longevity with infinite quests but it's always just felt super lazy.

I'm pretty sure arrowhead probably has plans for either outcome. Maybe we end up holding one megacity and can use that as a staging ground to try to take back the rest of super earth. Mega cities were falling quickly because we were spread out between them. Once just one or two remain they will be easier to hold with our forces more condensed. Assuming the crayon eaters don't get bored and wander off to fight bugs while super earth is being destroyed, which unfortunately is a very real possibility.

Not a very good list to be honest. Never bother with the 20 points shield sigil stone. If you instead get one with fire shield, frost shield or shock shield it gives you 25% resistance to that element AND 25 shield points! So not only do you get two effects on 1 piece of equipment, but it's actually a higher amount of shield than the shield only sigil stones.

As far as I know they tried testing multiple faction missions but they could never get the AI to work right for faction vs faction fights. Then again, they originally said the engine couldn't handle urban maps so who knows? I would really enjoy it if they could get multi faction missions pulled off though. I always bring totally different loadouts for each faction so it would be interesting to see how people handle having to account for way more threat types in one mission.

It was the first open world game I ever played back when it released. That moment I walked out of the imperial city sewers for the first time and saw this massive beautiful world that looked like something out of a fairy tale spread out in every direction free for me to explore was indescribable, I was in awe lol. Still my favorite memory of gaming after all this time.

I'm dying to play it, but I'm not letting myself get excited until it's nearly about to come out. We already got fed false hope once with the games coming in the next 12 months thing microsoft did back in what, 2023 I think? Don't want to get my hopes up again for nothing.

The numbers were dropping specifically BECAUSE everything was being drip fed. Having a huge content drop was the best thing the game could have done and it got everyone talking about the game. L take on your part.

Is it really review bombing if a ton of people have valid complaints about recent performance issues? Sounds like that's just reviews doing what they're supposed to do and Ubi is just salty at the negative attention.

It's like saying Cyberpunk was review bombed after release because it had so many negative reviews. No, it just had a ton of legitimate problems.

This is disappointing. I wish they hadn't even said they were originally thinking about making one. Similarly with Larian thinking about dlc for BG3 and then changing their mind. It just makes me sad thinking about what could have been. Hopefully we'll at least get part 3 a little sooner due to this.

Owlcat is probably the only studio other than Larian I'd trust with it, but it would probably be closer to BG1+2 then since that seems more their forte. Maybe Obsidian back in their Pillars 1+2 days but there studio isnt the same these days. Inxile, meh, they're good at wasteland games but it's totally different in tone and style, I don't know how well they'd pivot to fantasy.

It won't get dlc, wonder why? Lmao. Probably for the same reason EA didn't even bother paying for DRM on it.

BG3 has more players today over a year after release than veilguard has had at it's peak. It hasn't come anywhere near breaking even financially.
