He has been confirmed as playable, but they haven't confirmed what kind of character he is but he won't show up until 2.5. You need to watch the dev vision vol 5 where they explain all the changes coming to season 2. The craziest confirmed thing is starting at season 3 we are getting a new Rival EVERY MONTH. I wonder how well they will be able to keep up that kind of pace, but it would be pretty neat if they could.
